The Sony A73/A7R3/A7S3/A9 Thread

I lent my RX100 V to a mate who was setting up a new estate agency business. I need to get it back, but I imagine that it is now worth a lot less than it was before!

That said, the technical specifications of these cameras often outweighs the usability of them. When I sold my D750 and bought the RX100 V I was focussed on portability. But the compromises are just too great - at the moment they're just not good enough. And if you'll accept lower quality for better usability then the current crop of action cameras just blow away these pocket hybrids.

I still have my Mk1 RX100. The new ones don't interest me much. I'd rather have a shorter focal range and faster. 24-70 equivalent is perfect.

Yeah Im awaiting some astro reviews. May swap my Sony 16-35mm F4 for it.

Have you seen any examples of astro shots with the new Tamron 17-28 2.8? I didn't know about this lens until tonight when looking for previews of the Sigma, but there appear to be very few detailed examples.

Not yet, will look out for some. Sigma are making big noises about theirs being for Astro work though and although I love my Sony gm 24mm, sometime I need wider.

We decided a while ago that instead of having individual Axx threads, we just have one Sony mirrorless thread to discuss all things related to sony mirrorless.
We probably need to rename the subject title to A7Rx instead of A7r3 (and the rest of the models) for those who are a bit more easily confused.

Have mirrorless caught up with dslr for wildlife?

My understanding is that they fall back because of the delay in the view finder + limited lenses.

I ask because the a7r4 looks tasty. Noise performance equal to the 1dx?
