Official OcUK Kent Meet Business

We could spend some time in smaller groups, walk by the river, shop in the brand new House of Fraser (opens on the 10th), I'll investigate the new LAN shop which is round the corner at lunchtime see if they are open on Saturday mornings (don't count on it) or I am open to suggestions

smaller groups!!! oh my God NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :D

Oh my god... we're not going to be spending time with our great aunts... Next you'll be suggesting playing charades or something like that!

Do you seriously play games like that with your friends?!

havent been out with friends like this (ie stayover) but did go away for residential weekend and we did play games like these.... i am only saying it because to me (how it looks) if there are 20+ ppl, they are not gonna all interact with each other are they? so if we have a game to sort of get them all "comfortable" (so to speak) with eachother....

piggy: yeah!! , bring that PS2 game :D

Speaking from meet experience, it doesn't take much for everyone to get 'comfortable'. Remember we've been chatting to eachother for a while, so its just about putting faces to names.

Stop worrying, we'll look after you.

You will very quickly make new friends and get to know people. There are others who are coming who are shy too, but they have been made very very welcome at all events in the past.

Participate in discussions, ask people about themselves and be prepared to integrate and you will find yourself leaving the weekend with some great new friends :)

Honestly mate, there's no need to worry about not having enough things to do, or not being able to speak to everyone. Have you really considered what it would be like if 20+ people were all trying to speak to each other at once? It's easier when people split into smaller groups, the conversation flows easier then. The secret is to make sure you move around the groups and talk to everyone. It's something I didn't do as much as I'd like in the Leeds meet, but thankfully 3 of the people I wanted to speak to more (Piggy, Desmo and Tiggy) are going to be here so I can make up for it.

Besides, by the time the bowling and meal is out of the way, you'll be more than comfortable enough :)

I always find at meets there are people I didn't get the chance to have a good chat with but we have 2 nights and the day time in Kent , the other meets have all been just going to a pub for the evening really so hopefully I'll get the chance in Kent :D

Just checked both bookings for the 2nd time, I like to make sure! All booked and ready for Saturday :) I can't book the dave mats for Piggy and Otacon but I expect we can push the kiddies out of the way!
