The "This ebayer just stinks of scam..." thread.

Why are you pleased this genuine seller got left undeserved negative feedback

It's the retard who bought the item who deserves a neg not the seller. Cant believe how retarded some people are.

Because its a joke it even got to that stage, regardless of which party is to blame. Don't shoot the messenger.

It is not how I operate on ebay, I wouldn't sell the item at that price. However the title says box. The picture shows a box. The description says box only. The buyer has done something wrong. The only way the buyer will get their money back is if the seller decides to refund. The buyer clearly realised he/she made a mistake straight after the listing completed. The key here is the mistake is the buyer's.

I disagree that the title says box. It can easily be read as being an iPhone with a mint condition box, which would be a normal thing to say in a title. The title is ambiguous at best, and the inconsistencies in the description/item details is obviously not completely clear, hence 18 people bidding it up to £275. More than one person was confused unless there was shill bidding.

EBay is not and should not be a free for all, offering no protection for people who seem uncapible of protecting themselves. The buyer will receive a refund, of that I have no doubt. Those people saying that the buyer deserves to be hundreds of pounds down for being stupid are basically ***** with little regard for others.

I agree there is clearly a mistake made buy the buyer. The seller could refund them at their discretion. The description does clearly say box only. The sales of goods act 1979 is applicable to the description. The description is important not the title or else you could claim there wasn't an apple (fruit).
