Jesus... hopefully I will get to see the full range in time to make an informed decision before they are available for sale. :D

I would expect to see many leaks before they go up for sale tbh, probably a 99% chance we'll see what models well before release so you should have a good idea what to go for.

Thing is, I know some of us upgrade every two years or quite frequently and I dunno about you but if I am shelling out over £500 on a GPU its got to last me a while..

This is why although people dig at the 'fine wine' phenomenon, for me it has always worked well as I can get the best out of a GPU for longer. nvidia are renown for ditching gens or deliberately gimping drivers. So for me I can see ray tracing getting better on AMD, it may be not as good as the 3080, but then again I dont magnet to these RTX titles. The consoles will help out and if you must have ray tracing, at least it will be available in some form - not a deal breaker for me.

Im still running 2 x R290 in x-fire from 2011

Im planning to upgrade, Im just not sure whether to go for Zen 3 or wait for Zen 4....

Hats off to AMD though, the 6800XT looks stellar

I had a 290X, added an AIO later but a great card for me (5 years).

Go for the Zen just out now it will be all you will need.

Garbage tier!

AMD did a good job making the case why you should go all in with x570, Zen 3 and RX 6000 series card.

That's one of the things I harped on before. As many people already want a RX 6000 but know their CPU will bottleneck it. So they want to upgrade their entire PC.

However, I have to wonder if AMD will mess up this opportunity expecting them to buy all that a-la-carte or will they offer incentives like bundles or shop discounts for PC bundles or something?

I know a lot of people are very interested in buying a PC build but they loose that interest when it's all a-la-carte. Even if AMD offered a credit card with 0% for 24 months. AKA: Something similiar to what the consoles are doing would be a huge push to buy.

That would be nice, a partner that dealt with the finance side of it but allows people to get the core stuff in one sweep.

AMD should definitely offer an incentive to get people to buy a CPU and GPU combo to be honest, there are a lot of people on Ryzens and a lot of people with AMD GPU's, if you offer them a slightly cheaper upgrade route by buying both products at once i bet tons will bite.

Yeah, bundles CPU + GPU, and maybe vouchers with single purchases, 'buy an 6000 GPU get a £50 voucher against a 5000 CPU' etc...

I find this game series to bland and uninspiring really... Forza is just so much better on all fronts.

I didn't really post about the game, it's about the RDNA2 technology that's been implemented. There's a lot of stuff in this generation for game devs to play with. As Forza is coming to the new Xbox and Windows 10, I'm sure there will be RDNA2 tech in that game too.

Yes that's highly probable.
Most would be holding back on a Zen 3 upgrade because DDR 5 is just around the corner

I don't think that's accurate - "most" don't even know what DDR5 is.

Some enthusiasts might be holding out, but that's also questionable since Zen3 looks to bring substantial improvements regardless of the socket or ram.... it is also a direct drop in replacement for a lot of people with x470/b450/x570/b550 boards vs an entire new system upgrade for AM5 so to anyone owning one of those boards it's something of a no brainer. DDR5 will be expensive for a while after release, I won't be jumping on it right away. My plan is to drop in a 5900X or 5950X later next year to replace my 3900X and then sit tight for a couple of years into the DDR5 cycle for ram speeds to pick up and prices to go down.

Hmm after a chat with my boss this won't cost me nearly as much... I am all in on release day for 6900xt. No Vat and they want to pay for some of it :)

Looks like my Vega 64 will be staying with me . By the time the Rx6800 gets into uk shops i can see it being £600 i am an enthusiast not an idiot . I am going console for the first time since a ps1!!!
