The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

I hope so.
Better yet implement RT optimizations that are specific for the RX series via developer relations.
I believe that is the whole point. I personally assume this also have to do with amd and microsoft still working on the super sampling tech. Nvidia has dlss which is probably the only way to run the game decent with all the ray tracing

The game will look superb nevertheless. I'm curious how this will work out
Can't wait to order mine.

I'd like to imagine the devs, working for years on making a decent game, rolling their eyes as they glue in the bare minimum relevancy for yet another graphics setting just to tick a box marked "pander to niche audience".

Sorry if it’s already in the thread somewhere, but when are we expecting independent reviews for the 6800 and 6800XT to be available?

not gonna happen, amd does everything open source that's why any ray tracing amd gets implemented already works great on Nvidia cards.

Optimizations would just be copying the same Low settings as consoles - I mean it would be interesting if we see some technical optimization based on architecture and all that, but so far what we've seen in games is that when it comes to "ray tracing optimization" it's actually just a code word for: reduced image quality

I don't know, let's see, next gen consoles looking damn impressive

... Amd why :(

I ask that too. I'm holding off buying a CPU and GPU now. I'll wait to see if the last gen CPUs drop in price and for Intel's GPU unless they do some kind of bundle deal which is acceptable to me.

I was all set for getting both but now they're getting a lot less, or none, of my money with these pricing tactics.

Can anyone let me know why the 6800xt (300w card) is recommending a 750w psu and the 6800(250w card) is recommending a 650w psu?

100w difference in the recommendations but 50w power difference on the boards?

Clearly you don't need 750w to run a 300w part so there's an assumption about the rest of the system the card will be put in.

My guess is that the assumption believes you are running a higher wattage CPU if you're going with the higher wattage GPU.
