I looked at the slides and watched the AMD presentation.
To match a 3090 I would need to buy a 5950X cpu and a very good motherboard + the new GPU.
That's a lot of cash.
I do hope AMD beats a 3090 on a Intel system.

Funny how the same people that bash DLSS cause ‘image quality isnt as pristine as 4k native’ even if in motion its better as well as 95% of it when static...
diss raytracing now cause AMD sucks at it.
Loool.
Either you care about image quality or not. If you do, you care about raytracing. If you care about fps you should care about DLSS. The hipocrisy is off the charts.

Doubt you would need a 5950, 5900 maybe.
$999 will likely be the retail msrp, the fact of actually buying one? Back to 2080Ti money. If true, I can't see how Nvidia could release a 3080ti for $999.
Edit: Also if it does that can only be good for us, in terms of pricing.
Why do you have to care about ray tracing right now if you want IQ? I want the best IQ possible, but am not overly concerned about Ray Tracing because it's still in its infancy and few games even have it.
Ray Tracing absolutely is the future, but I will care about it a lot more when it's standard in games.
Well they had 5000s cpus on launch so there's a chance. I actually went in the day after and the guy had 5800x's on the shelf.Good luck. Local retailers won't have these cards I think... They sound like they're favouring the biggies only.
A retailer and online store have 0 coming and I thought they were big...
And most of them , potentially all of those games will come with the option to turn it off.Considering all nextgen consoles have RT, and they’re the ones pushing the industry forward, games not having RT will be the exception pretty soon, not the rule.

Maybe when the PS6 rolls around we will have enough horsepower for fully raytraced games.
by the time the first word is spoken on a review they would have sold out i reckonI'm hoping its early, Before the cards go on sale so people have a chance to watch a few and decide if its the card for them.
