For the zen3 launch the site eventually activated a capatcha test before you could access..

by that point i had the 5800x in the basket 4 times but kept kept getting 504 errors every time i tried to pay.

I had 3 pc's and a mobile trying to get in and until the capatcha system went on i could never get through the checkout... the main website seemed to be ok it was the payment provider plugin that was goosed.

one other website had some sort of script set up whereby if you added the product to your cart and it wasn't available you were dumped in a queue waiting for other customers to complete checkout or forefit their cart.. the issue there was the websites own script kept trying to add the item in the background and it was throwing error messages every time it did "you're trying to do that too fast" it was as if their own queue system was actually making the problem worse.

Is it weird that I know EXACTLY which "other shop" you're talking about? :D That "other shop" apparently don't have 68xxx stock this week.

Yes blind, essentially blind except we've all seen one, know the specs, know the performance AMD claim and unless we believe AMD bodged the benchmarks by like 30% we know that the performance is extremely likely to be very close to what they stated. So blind apart from general performance and most of the details? We just don't have endlessly repetitive benchmarks and multiple people repeating the same things. Do you genuinely believe reviews will paint a completely and utterly different picture to the launch or do you think it will be pretty much what they said.

Don't be daft, how many product launches have you seen? You've been here a long time, how many GPU launches have we seen where something is promised and it doesn't materialise, or where its not completely as it seems? No I think I would rather invest that kind of money in something knowing full well what I am buying.
