The time came

The trouble is, I'm likely to hit the same response over there as I've had from Clio owners on here - no one likes to be told their car isn't very good, even if it's just for one person's applications.

I also suspect it'll be littered with 'Well duh, why fit harder suspension then' from people that don't quite understand the issue/suspension. I guess it was more a case of I couldn't be bothered, perhaps I'll give it a go and see anyway.

Just go over to the forum. You clearly dont know them that well as you've used the word "Likely".

Trust me... that have no problem pointing out the clio's faults!

The forum is full of Clio experts... Head there if you want credible responses.

im confused :S. so you bought a clio and fixed it up, you didnt like it so you wanted to sell it, (fair enough). you set yourself a target of a megane or rx8. now your back on track thinking of ways to improve the clio?.

if you dont like the car now, i dunno if you will still like it with mods onit and this could just be a waste money.

That is exactly my Dilema, Phil.

If changing the suspension works, it'll almost certainly save me money. Not only on the purchase price of the other cars I'd consider, but all the niggles that would need doing, that you get on any second hand car (of which, have already been addressed on the Clio).

I just need to figure out if I can accurately assess whether it will work or not.

Are you serious......?!?! Is Mike sniffing skittles~?!?!?!

You mean to tell me this madness is all because the suspension doesnt fee right to you!

You're willing to sell up because of this. And what if the next car doesnt "fee" right.... Will you simply sell that off too?

Do yourself a favour and save up for a 911 gt2 rs!

Might want to fully star out that female dog reference.

Why are all 197's in boring colours? They all seem to be Black, Red or White. :(

Here we go again, I'm forced to clarify people people either cannot read, or are literally making things up that I've said.

I'm selling up because the Clio cannot cope with our roads, it skips, bump steers and generally feels unstable unless it's a good road.

Here you go!

I implore you to ***** about a clio with the cup chassis upgrade lol

I don't get it? Mine has the Cup packs?

Fix it then.........

Can you **** off and come back once you've thread the thread please? :(

The car isn't broken, the dampers are responsive and the springs are in one piece, they (and I presume it is the suspension - it is the most likely suspect) simply cannot keep it together on our roads.

No I'd rather stick around thanks.

Just trying to understand what going on here lol.

You dont like the current setup...... Fix/Change it. If youre unsure what to do then head over to cliosport.net...... Home of the clio experts.

You're just wasting your time here lol!

You can understand what is going on by reading the thread you've decided to stomp in to.

Thanks for telling me what I've already suggested over the last page

I haven't read every single post of this thread, but it kind of feels like people are jumping on Mike's back now just for the hell of it, in the same way that any time Majick (or whatever his username is) posts something in GD, people make jokes about him being a tinfoil hat wearing mentalist.

Mike, just do what you feel is right. Personally if the 182 doesn't feel right to you, and for some reason you don't like it, just get rid of it and try something new :)

I'm possibly missing the point, and will admit to not reading the whole thread, but why is it so hard to believe there is only 1 Trophy on the IOW?

He was referring to the fact Mike said he didn't know the guy, to play on the running joke of Mike having a mate for every possible circumstance or situation. So yes, you missed the point :p

That said quite how he can be so sure there is only 1 Trophy on the IOW, implying that he knows the situation of every car on the Island, I've no idea :D

Small place, though! I could probably guess there are between 2 and 5 Civic EK9's in Sheffield for example, which has a larger population than the IOW.

Don't think I was "so sure", I said "AFAIK".
