Started this thread since the Samsung S23A700D 120Hz monitor has sold superbly here@OcUK(Thanks guys):D

Anyone with Tridef installed can view these 3D game pics through Tridef, the only downside being they can only be viewed through Tridef:

Games included so far are, Alan Wake, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Bulletstorm, Mass Effect 3 and Warhammer Space Marines.

I will add more if the thread creates any interest and feel free to do the same and add your screenshots through Tridef: simply press 'Print Screen' to capture and it saves to your Docs.

Then you can upload them to a Dropbox folder, click the padlock on the end and 'get link'.

I uploaded some screenshots on Dropbox, anyone can view them from the link below:

I find a lot of those shots to be very Panto. Some bits are nice, like the batman char, but many bits just look like cardboard cutouts.

Haven't played any 3D games for more than a few mins as yet. Trine looks nice though but again I'm not sure I could stomach it for a full play session.

From the user info

3D screenshots are stored under a "TriDef 3D" subfolder in your "Pictures" (or "My Pictures") area. After successfully taking a 3D Screenshot, a message will appear near the bottom left hand corner of the display showing the location of the screenshot. They are created in several different formats: TriDefPhoto, above-below, and anaglyph. TriDefPhotos can be viewed using TriDef 3D Media Player

The disc I got with my monitor doesn't work so I've not got it installed :(

I tried again and managed to find the tridef installer on the disc but it only works if you only have a single display output? It's useless to me anyway then as I use two monitors. I'll keep using the 2D->3D on the actual TV when I fancy forced 3D in that case then.

Managed to get 3D working in the end and tried it briefly with Skyrim & Borderlands. Looked vaguely impressive for 5 mins then I just decided 3D wasn't for me, makes me feel sick quickly and the games look too dark due to the tint of the glasses.

Kids liked it but for me it was 'meh', and I wont be bothering again. Luckily the Samsung is an excellent 2D monitor with great image quality so i'm happy with my purchase.

Hey tommybhoy, great idea! I was thinking of doing a topic like this. I'm downloading yours now and I've seen your batman ones, they look great. I know what Fred means, 3D can give a carboard cutout effect. I was watching a side by side 3D youtube vid just now of the royal wedding, and marching guards did look a bit like they'd been steamrollered, lol. But the overall effect is still stunning. I'll do some more screenshots in a bit. I haven't got many games, but tridef is picking up my F1 2010, need for speed shift and shift 2, Risen demo, and all the crysis games. I'm enjoying looking at 3D more today than I was last night, so there's hope for me yet.:p

I've done a dropbox link for F1 2010. How did you manage to get a link which goes to just the game title folders which can be clicked on to show the photos inside? I created a new folder on the dropbox site called F1 2010 and added my photos, but the 'get link' goes straight to the photos inside rather than just the folder which says 'F1 2010' to click on, if you get my meaning. Not that it really matters, but curious. Btw, that BulletStorm looks amazing in 3D.

What graphical settings are people running when playing these games in 3D - low/med/high? I find even with two GPUs in crossfire the performance in 3D can suck still.

Well for instance, with my very modest dual core cpu and 5850, I'm running skyrim 1920x1080, little bit of anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering, texture quality high, radial blur medium, shadow detail low, and I get up to 120fps with 2D 120 Hz. With the 3D enabled through Tridef, I get quite a performance hit and my fps is around 30fps, but really, it still plays fine. Crysis Warhead on medium to high settings gives around 18 to 25fps with 3D. Still playable but not ideal.

@Merlin5, sorry for the late reply, been busy this week with one thing and another.

Added your dropbox link to the op, thanks for adding the screens, they look cool.

Any more links come folks, I'll add them too.

Wasn't impressed at all with the in built 3D in BF3, just used the Tridef profile for BF3 and WOW!

Can't believe Iv'e never actually played the single player until now!:D

BF3 Tridef screens have been added to my op.

Those BF3 shots look amazing. Some of the background scenery is a bit flat, but the player gun view and gunsights are stunning as are the later shots on the aircraft carrier. My favourite though is shot 0050, I feel I can pick every item up in that. :D
