As for the original figures of ODA (official development assistance) it is will be interesting to see what development assistance the rich middle east countries give. I'm not gonna blame India for not helping develop other nations.

As for actual charity by individuals, I suggest you go to a developing nation, even Muslim nations, and see the large amount of money donated to charitable causes.

In the UK we give more money to Pet charities than human charities.

but the government doesn't fund such organisations such as the RSPCA does it? i will always give to an animal charity if there is a collection pot
