We love to knock it. The weather, the out-of-control kids, the out-of-control dogs, the weather again, old people, our history, the monarchy, the government, our future, stupid people, experts, the media... I could go on. BUT

What is your favourite thing about our floating home? Positivity only, please.

Um.
I guess that I was lucky enough to be born into a decent, 1st world country. Where animal rights etc are fairly good (comparatively)

Kind of sad i feel we are starting to regress. A bit in too many aspects though.

Weather sucks though.
Too wet and dreary

Despite our differences and our failings, the English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish are some of the most decent, honest and strong people I know. I consider us cousins and a good bunch of people. I hold dual nationality - Irish and English and think we are all better together.

The British isles isn't floating.
Paxo Stuffing, Branston pickle, mintsauce, everything else is pointless

I'd probably go with "variety"...

Weather - Not too hot or cold. It has a lot of variety.
Geography - A mixture of cities, countryside, smaller mountains, lakes and beaches. ie. variety.
Culture - Lots of variety of people, foods, etc. Generally most people are tolerant.

I would also add our own history, culture and people. It may not be a fashionable thing to say but as mentioned by another poster above, most people here are polite, resilient, strong and believe in a sense of fairness.

The openness, ie accepting of different cultures
The size (getting anywhere is relatively quick)
Being first world so we are evolving, accepting of differences (what some call woke in areas)

I'm sacred about 2 of the things above though
We seem to be regressing massively on the first and third due to attacks by narrow minded individuals now feeling empowered.
