***The Unofficial Samsung Galaxy S III LTE (I9305) Thread***

CM10.1 and LiquidSmooth are out for this device. Very very buttery! I will be posting a YouTube video on this very soon. =)

I'd be quite interested to know how well it runs, any bugs at all. Tbh, I've very happy on Ripper ROM and with Jkay mod and Domination theme, you'd be hard pushed to tell it from CM.

Well fellas, it's been a pleasure having a great discussion with you on this thread, but it's time for my S3 LTE to go before the prices drop wildly. I've unrooted, factory reset my S3 and am sending it off tomorrow to get some good cash for it while I can.

In the meantime I'll be using the N4.

Keep the discussion up! Maybe see you in the S4 thread! :D

You selling to Mazuma mate?

Deffo can get more than that if you sell on AVForums.

I'll see you in the S4 thread soon enough stoosh - aslong as Samsung hold up their side of the deal :p:D

No Mate am going through Fonebank. I can't be bothered with selling it through AVForums though I appreciate the suggestion.

It all depends on Samsung! You never know ;)

Your worried about prices dropping and you have sold it for £240! Does not compute.

You could have got prob £80-100 more private dude.

Have to say, that's what I thought :)

I know people say it's a hassle to sell private, but it doesn't have to be. Throw an add on Gumtree for free, it lets you upload a few pictures. State in the add, cash on collection only and wait a week.

Maybe 5 minutes effort, then someone will come to your door and place a big wad of notes in your hand. Personally, I think that's less effort than posting it somewhere.

I hear you Dudes....and have decided to put a bit of effort in and have gone private.

Thanks for your kind advice, let's hope I make some decent money ;)

That's where I've put the S3 on sale...took on board kona786's original advice.

Get asked lots of questions on there though! Seeing as I have zero trader rating they want me to send the phone first before paying.

What a mission!

Hmm its upto you to send it first - I wouldn't personally. Do as you please stoosh :)

Put in on Gumtree for collection like Andy said - that's a good option .

Do you still have that guide on how to unlock this phone to all networks?

And the guide to put the phone back to stock ROM and Recovery?

Going back to stock is just a case of flashing a stock ROM from SamFirmware or whereever.

If you want to reset the counter too, flash stock ROM, root with CF auto root, triangle away, flash stock ROM :).

You might just be able to triangle away and then flash a stock ROM, I'm not sure if download mode checks to see if the phone's using a proper kernel or not.

Obviously factory reset and all that too :).

I was thinking the same kona, i'm not comfortable with the idea.

Here's the unlocking procedure for the Note 2 it should work for your S3

Just dial the following keys *#197328640#

Main Menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3]Perso SHA256 OFF > (after choosing this option, wait about 30 seconds, then go back one step by pressing the Menu button then select Back, now you are in [6] Network Lock then choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ ..... wait for a minute then reboot your phone... enjoy!!! There is no confirmation on the phone that the unlock was successfull.... just reboot your phone....

To test, just insert a sim card from a different carrier/provider. If the new sim card works then your phone is now unlocked.

Here's the link to unroot and restore your S3 to factory.

Are you thinking of selling your S3 on kona?

Cheers stoosh and bloomfield for the info.

Yeah stoosh you have me thinking about selling mine - I will if I get enough for it.

The flagship galaxy only come's once a year so it makes sense for me. I have a GNex to fall back on too so it's not too bad.

No worries Dude.

You should as you never know what's around the corner with the S4. The GNex isn't a shabby phone to fall back on!

I'm almost in the same position as you as I have the N4 to fall back on! :)

I know I don't post here very often (and I have no idea if this is allowed to be asked) but I will anyway.

Can anybody possibly confirm to me what I suspect? Numbnuts aka me decided that I wanted to go back to genuine firmware (unrooted) I9305. Done the official thing via ODIN and thought wahey back to normal. Um..............well i'm not basically. Not only has the device remained modified..............my sim card is now showing as no service (t-mobile/EE) and to top it all off the *#06* thing to find the IMEI? It's showing as nu//lnull. Not good. I've managed to install the original 4.11 firmware via Odin but that's about it.

Sounds silly, but are you 100% sure it was the correct ROM? Can you link to it for us?

No service sounds like it has the wrong radio ROM perhaps?

A quick look on SamMobile shows the last UK ROM to be I9305XXBMA4, so I would give that a crack and see how it goes.

This is newer than XXBLL5 I think anyway. It's Three's, but should work on any network I think.

I could try I suppose. I asked on the XDA forum and they said something about I should have backed up the IMEI...................Which is probably not helped me very much!
