The upper bound on your salary

As Gilly said. What responses did you expect.

In my role - working in a factory basically - the normal salary is £30,000 - the top salary (that anyone could work towards) is £3.5million a year plus shares/expenses and perks - and it's reasonably possible for anyone to get to the position of CEO - if you have the education and knowhow to get there (or more ruthless/cunning)

Then the purpose of this thread ceases to exist

I personally hate willy waving threads.

I could earn double what I earn now (and I don't earn a pittence) but I value my happiness and thus prefer to work less, live a less stressful life and spend more time with my family and friends. Money != Happiness

I don't put a limit on what I could earn.

I'm confused by the upper bound part, is it not upper band?

I am quite drunk so I may just be being stupid :/

Well I do put a limit on what I think is realistic based on my current role, sector and motivation and I posted that in my OP. I can understand why everyone thinks this is pointless, perhaps GD is not somewhere to post something like this lol

Yes but what happens when you get to x thousands a year only to find a coworker is on x thousand more?

Do you measure you place and thus success in life by what you earn or what you have done?
