yeah I think they mix their premade at 20%, its way too sickly at that, but make your own at 15% and its an adv for sure, my mrs has been vaping that, and that only, for months.

I take it you mean the airflow base? Check the seal that sits on the top part of this, if it's damaged you should have gotten replacements with the tank, failing that you can get a new airflow base for a few quid from myepack

Yeah the airflow base was what I was on about, I've however narrowed the cause of the leak down to the rebuildable atomiser (not sure if correct term?). I can't see anything wrong with the seals or anything, but after having swapped it out for the 1.5ohm atty that came with the Subbox its quite clear the RDA is flooding and causing the leak, as the standard one is smooth and no sign of leakage. I'm guessing it's down to the way I've packed the cotton, even though it looks like I've done it correctly.

Well I have finally gotten round to getting a 12mg liquid, RY-6. Took some getting used too but really like the flavour. I do find myself using it more frequently so not sure if I should switch back to 18mg!

Quick question, does steeping a menthol based juice reduce the "cool kick" at all? I just ordered 100ml of Merlin from Vaping King and its super menthol compared to the 10ml bottle I bought before, quite disappointing as its too much for me. Could happily have all day vaped the previous batch as it was a subtle hint of cooling, this is more like inhaling an Eskimo fart.

And, the new Smok TFV4 tank, this thing is a beast, came as a kit with a 0.15ohm quad coil that really eats power and juice but clouds and flavour are great, then a triple coil at 0.2ohm, ive not tried and then an RBA which came with a 0.85ohm coil already installed, but i replaced it with a 0.16ohm ni200 coil...
Its a top fill and is the best tanks ive tried yet, im loving it..

So without further a do.. here's the two together...
The tri coil is just the same , need at least 75w to get a satisfying vape , was mostly using it @ around 90w.I got through 50ml of Vamp Vape in 3 days , just over the top for me.So tried numerous builds on the RBA base & settled for 22 gauge , 7 or 8 wraps spaced coil(2.5mm inner dia)comes out @ .43 ohms.Vape this around the 40w to 50w range , good dense clouds(air set about 1/2 open) & flavour is pretty good. Just waiting for the dual coil RBA base to arrive , (holes are to small in the single coil RBA base for me about .8mm), got a nice pair of Claptons to go in the dual & then see what it can do.

I never tried the tri coil, but the quad was nutts, loads of flavour and clouds at 100w, and with both the bottom and top airflow fully open it was not too hot to take a decent length hit, but with the top airflow closed I found it was a nice vape at 50w using my sigelei, though in less than four hours I had gone through 45% battery and a few tanks worth of juice... its a beast of a tank.
The RBA I found leaked when using the top fill, but I have found a cure for it... I wick as normal using rayon, same as I would on a lemo as the deck is the same, but then took 2 pieces of Jap cotton, cut 5mm by 10mm and used it to place over the tails of the wick so it acts like a barrier over the juice flow holes and filled it and it was fine, will see the next time I refill if it holds.
I am running the RBA with a single 0.15ohm ni200 coil using 28awg with a 3mm dia, I have the watts at 30 and the top airflow closed and the bottom airflow half open, rarely see it hit temp protect, flavor is good and the clouds, never produced such big clouds with a temp controlled coil before... it is class...
If I open the bottom airflow up fully I can turn the power up to the full 40w and still rarely see it hit temp protect but its a tone of vapor lol
Tommy... do it, its is an amazing tank.. but do some reading first, have seen many others complaining about leaking using the coil heads so quality control may be an issue... and from what ive seen the price for a 5 pack of coils is a little high compared to Kanger or Aspire... but I plan to stick to the RBA so not worried.
The Smok site says there will be even more coil heads coming out, Ni200, Titaniuim and even 6 coil head??

Definitely a learning curve to the wicking , mind you most RBTA do have.My Zephyrus , Billow 2 & Lemo 2 all have there little quirks to get good wicking & no leaking , now i usually get a little gurgling for a few toots after top filling but then it clears.I do find that 2.5mm inner dia coils are easier to wick as when i use 3mm there is to much cotton , no leaks but i have to cut & shape wick which is a pain.
I saw that review a few weeks back, apart from the actual tilt; there's no USP.. the subox is the same thing and the p4u ipv d2 blows it away..

I've heard people having issues with the fire button with the gimzos, not sure if it's improved with the v2 thou.
