Mains powered. Does 4 batts @ 1A and 2 batts @ 2A. 200/300/500/700/1000/1500/2000 mAh charging too. Solid charger mate, no question.

I wouldn't bother with one of the Xtar (VC2/VC4) ones that're powered by USB as you need at least a 2.4A wall adapter to go with it, and the cable isn't replaceable. It's got a barrel connector on the end which is an abnormal size compared to the usual ones from Amazon etc.

Batteries: I use either Samsung, Sony or LG. Don't buy anything with 'fire' in the name. I'm using some Samsung 30Q's in my Reuleaux Gen 3 currently.

I've used Fogstar in the past and they're great. They come with a case and he includes an extra set of battery wraps in case they get damaged. Haven't tried their own branded ones yet but I understand they're just Sony/Samsung etc. which're re-wrapped in his fancy skin.

If you're planning on running high wattage, low resistance builds/coils. I'd probably go with either the Samsung 25R, Sony VTC5 or the Sony VTC5A - all quality batteries.

Use this table here (https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/attachments/img_0535-jpg.682441/) for the max charging rate of each battery. Remember the more a battery heats up during charging, the more it'll degrade.

Just seeing whats about before I got and take the priv v8 back and get something better, wanting a get up and go vape mainly for flavour over cloud as I found I got most sick when the flavour was rubbish

Only ever bought concentrate off them before, just knew they done 50/50.

Concerned about cost then you could buy a 250Ml bottleshot, buy a bottle of premixed 50/50 PG/VG, and shake the lot together if you are concerned about price, you don't need anything else to make your own, if you want 3mg, then add 2 10ml PG nic shots and 2 10ml VG nic shots.

So, as you use a Rose V2 I'm guessing you are a mouth-to-lung vaper. There's nothing wrong with the Rose so I'd keep it if I were you. The Innokin iSub range are sub-ohm direct-lung tanks so would be quite a change.
If I were you I'd swap the mech for a good, modern box-mod and stick with the Rose for now and maybe try some more tanks as you move forward.

For a box mod and if you want low-ish cost then you can't go wrong with a Smoant Charon (The TC version). Dual batteries, powerful, does TC, very well build, and cheap.
If you want to spend a bit more and really get in to TC curves etc then grab something with a DNA board in it. DNA75C if you don't think you'll go over 75W and want a cool colour screen, DNA250 if you want the most powerful thing you can get.

I did start as a mouth to lung vaper but now I vape direct to lung. I feel it gives me a better hit this way. I will do as you say and buy a box mod and have a look at your recommendations

I generally have my coil at 1.4ohms in the rose so what kind of wattage would I set box mod at?

On the mech with a fully charged battery you will be at 12.6W but in reality the voltage will have sagged a bit so you're probably more like 11W. So, start from there and see how you get on.

Thanks mate I will look at that tank. I'd like one that holds 5ml but I know there is a new law that you can't go over 2ml now. So I will probably order my tank from fasttech/gearbest. Yeah 12mg in the rose. I did used to vape 18mg but I was getting nicotine sickness so had to drop down to 12.

If you want something that holds more juice then check out the Obs Engine Nano. It holds 5.3ml but is extremely easy to fill with a little flip-up fill hole. It's a single coil tank that's about the simplest to build on I've even used. I have two of them and while the flavour isn't as good as the Serpent, the additional juice capacity comes in useful. Plus it has the added bonus in that it WILL NOT leak no matter how you leave your mod.

Could you recommend a tank that takes replaceable coils? I can build but don't really enjoy it so would like another tank if I'm in a can't be arsed mood lol.

I'm still using tanks that use the Atlantis coils so I'm probably not the best person to ask about them. They work for me and coils are plentiful and cheap though.

After looking at some YouTube videos I might actually just buy a RTA. The decks do look easy to work on and it will save me quite a bit of money. The price for the coils for the SMOK's and Innokins is £12 for 4 which I find really expensive.

The clieto 120 is quite nice. I got an extended tank, and just bulk buy 10 coils at a time.

Again awaiting post before I can fully go RTA. I did pick up a V8 in a sale, but found the flavour lacked compared to the 120, custom coils or pre-made ones.

What type and size wire do you use on the OBS Engine Nano? I'm a bit lost with all the different variations. At the moment I have some kanthal that I use for building coils on the Rose but I think it will be too thin. It's 20g I think. I'm thinking of just buying some pre made coils off of ebay.

I decided to go with a Rebuildable in the end. I just think I will go through quite a few coils and these new decks look nice and easy to build on. What RTA did you buy?

SS316L 26/32 clapton wire from Fast Tech. I build with a 3mm ID, 6 wraps, for 0.5 Ohms.

Smoant Cheron turned up today and I'm really impressed. Built a new coil on the Rose and set the wattage at 12w and it really does hit hard. I thought it was my atomizer that was broken but it must have been my mech mod not making a good connection or something because it was so weak in comparison.

Picked up a Lost Vape Therion 75C & a Wotofo SMM tank.

Must say I'm impressed with the 75C board.
As for the tank, I'm not sure yet, wicking was easy enough but flavour is not quite up there
