My DV mentholyptus and DV Peppermint arrived today, as well as the GFs Titan Tank. The Mentholyptus is making my eyes water already and I haven't even opened the bottle yet! :o

Will post what I think of the TT later, as I'm not going to open it until I get home. :)
 
Vapourworlds RY4 Intense. Not so "Intense" infact seriously lacking in all aspects of creaminess, smokiness and sweetness, I would expect from Ruyan4, except chemicalness.
Very poor and have 50ml+ of the crap. :D
Back to my beautiful ivapourelixir RY4 and even better, (If I do say so myself :)) homemade "HummingBird Nectar" Yumidy yum. This stuff is the bee's knees and my favourite vape to date.

Not got a clue how to measure that, but all ive noticed is a more harsh throat hit and less flavour at present, need to try my absinthe on the normal atty later to see if it tastes any better.
 
Well, I picked up the mixing kit today with Apple Pie, Vanilla Ice and Strawberry Tart (as well as a Red Label Menthol concentrate). I've mixed up a ml of each with PG only, and I've got to say..... I need some VG. My local Tesco didn't have any (despite a price label :/), so I'm going to fly out to the other one after tea.

Apple Pie tastes great, with great throat hit but not enough vapour (this is my reason for VG!)
Vanilla Ice tastes a little....meh at the minute. The flavour is very muted, and not nearly as sweet as I was expecting. From reading up, this is another that really needs VG.
I haven't tried the Strawberry or Menthol yet, but here's hoping they're half decent.

Green Cow concentrate was out, and in the spur of the moment, I completly forgot the recommendations you guys gave :/
 
Tried out the titan tank with the 340mah battery, and I'm very impressed :)

It's slightly longer and heavier than the tornado tank, but looks very elegant and slick. My GF got the brushed steel version.

Vapour production is really good.

TW Menthol 18mg is quite smooth with plenty of flavour.

My only complaint is that filling the carts is a little fussy. With a syringe it's not a problem, but there aren't any caps like on the tornado carts, you have to fill through the same hole that the atty feeds from. But it's really not much of a bother.

Does anyone know what mixture TW use for their liquid? PG/VG ratio?
 
It depends on the range DJ_Jestar. The UK made ones are mostly 10% VG with the rest being PG and flavouring. The Chinese ones we don't really know the %s and they use a base that has its own flavour, which many think tastes peppery.
 
The stuff that comes with the kits is Chinese. I believe the titan juice are just rebranded Joye juices. We don't know what they put in them really so you'll have to just try stuff out.

The nicotine they use is different too, Nic-o-teen (aka nick from DV) says that the Chinese nictine isn't as 'clean' as the UK produced stuff. So you might never get the flavour exactly the same unless you buy it premixed.

I'd suggest starting with 10% VG anyway. Higher than that you'll need to think about cutting the VG so the juice doesn't get so thick. My VG bottle is 15% vodka (or distilled water) then I top it up with the 85% VG. The mix is just a little thicker than PG, but still gives loads of vapour. The vodka is there to add back some of the throat hit that all that VG takes away. At 10% VG it ain't really noticeable in throat hit but mixing anything above about 30% you start to have a drop off in throat hit.
 
Yeah that's all cool, I'm not new to mixing my own :) Just wanted to try and replicate the vapour production for my own mix.

Btw, anyone wanting to use Mentholyptus.. be careful. Even at 10% strength it is mind blowingly strong and hurts.

DV Peppermint is *lovely*.
 
So whats the difference with this PG and VG stuff..the Absinth i got this morning is PG and is thin as water, same with the RY4 i got, does it really affect the vape? Loving the Absinthe though its now my favourite :)
 
Definitely. PG gives a bit of throat hit, but it's VG that makes fluffy clouds come out of you mouth. Can't use pure VG on tank systems though, too thick. :)

Also a bit of a PITA because pure VG is too think to use a syringe with, have to use dropper.

It's 90% menthol concentrate, 10% eucalyptus with a trace of aniseed. So yeah going to be strong stuff. Likely best to mix 5%ish eh? Or stronger if you have a cold.

I think I might try it or one of the mint ones next order, I find menthol on its on very dull and pretty hard to mix with others without overpowering them. I've mostly used it in tobacco flavours that turned out not to be to my liking.
 
5% would probably be best. I'm using it at 10% at the mo, and it feels like I have a mouthful of Strongmints and am inhaling sharply through my mouth.

I did 50/50 Neat54(PG)/VG and 10% PA's Honeysuckle, makes a 24mg juice (Would love to know what flavour they use, pretty sure it has to be PA's, as I don't think any other flavour makers do a Honeysuckle. Also pretty sure it is a one flavour juice.) Not quite perfect, (May need to tune the ammount of flavouring or steep it some.) though pretty much tastes to me like the rave reviews of KickBassVapours Hummingbird Nectar and good enough to be my new all time favourite too.

It taste Identical to when you were a kid, plucked a leaf from a honeysuckle bush and licked the nectar off. IDENTICAL! It doesn't have any kind of Perfume or floral taste which is something I was worried about with a liquid named "Hummingbird nectar." It is sweet and just delicious! This is an absolute must have IMO! This is without a doubt my new favorite juice of all time!

Funny you should say that - 13 days in and Im in the same boat, had to switch to the backup one.
That has put me off the LR attys, as if Im only getting 2 weeks out of a normal tornado atty, then I hate to think how long the LR attys will last if they warn people that they last less time than the MR attys..

Guys anyone with old Tornado atties tried boiling them before chucking? I'm two months in and have boiled two of my three atties, new lease of life. Brings back the vapour and removes a lot of the off flavour

Rinse with vodka, boil, and leave to dry. Normally brings them back for another couple of weeks before you'll decide to chuck them. :)

I've also been tempted by cartomisers, considering how cheap they are, but I bought some recently and haven't been impressed at all. Might be because the liquid I'm using is mainly VG so it isn't wicking very well, but I find the cartos give me a decent amount of vapour, but next to no flavour and absolutely no throat hit.

Same juice off an atty scores highly on all three.

Also, worryingly, it seems that one of the cartos (well, clearomiser) that I've left mostly filled as I couldn't be bothered trying get the juice back out cleanly has begun to rust internally, at the bottom of the tube. Might not be rust, but there's definitely some kind of brown deposit forming. Not impressed at all.
