I've got 28AWG (0.32mm) wire on my AGA-T2, 10 turn MicroCoil on a cotton wrapped SS Mesh Wick. Works out at 1.4 Ohms and vaping like a dream.

Trust me if anyone needs some wire, 2.2 & 1.5 ohm Res/No Res wire (premade from Greyhaze.co.uk), Organic Cotton, 20ml Luer-lock syringes etc.

Just cover the postage, Craig /Allnamestaken can vouch for me...

2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm good quality silica, yeah, sorry forgot to mention that. Also have approx 14m 32 AWG A1 Kanthal wire, but I prefer to use the lower res stuff on my coils, for obvious reasons. All from www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com (excellent quality).

Edit: I'm currently in hospital having some tests (they suspect Chron's), but should be home tomorrow, all being well. I'll take care of any requests (within reason) soon as I get home and eat something that's not hospital swill

Apple can be serious win, but for some reason even though I like the way fruity flavours taste, they don't give me a satisfying vape. No idea why.

GL with the hospital! I'd like to grab some 2 and 2.5mm silica if you would. I also have 0.15mm Kanthal A1, I'm using eGo batteries and EVOD atties, as well as the odd CE5. What wire would you recommend? Aiming for 2.0ohm - I think this suits these bits?

1.8-2.0 ohms I've found is the sweet spot on my Protank, so I would expect the Evod to be along the same lines.

Trust me your address and I'll get some out to you to try. Do you need it precoiled?

e: Crossed wires a bit I think - I already have 0.15mm, I was kinda asking if you think this thickness is any good? I am fumbling in the dark still with rebuildables

Hey Red you have any high thickness wire i have .2 kanthal and 4 wraps is way to high so ive had to do all sorts of shenanigans to get 1ohm coils.

Ive only just realised that I need thicker wire haha higher gage to get lower res O_O.

0.15mm is fairly high resistance, for the Evod and other clearos, it's ok, but a little too thin to wire a decent amount of turns without ending up with a 3.0 +ohm coil. I have 32 AWG A1 Kanthal wire (I believe that's 0.2mm, but don't quote me on that). I'll send you some, I get around 1.8 - 2.0 ohms with 4/5 wraps. Just give it a go.

Just for your reference, the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire, the lower the resistance. 28AWG is thicker than 32 AWG and therefore you can use more coils at lower resistance.

Always so much technical stuff in this thread - hopefully one day I'll benefit from it - but for now hopefully a simple question.

I've a starter kit from vapeland that I've been using for a while. The original batteries are holding up well, but should I be doing any maintenance on the rest? I haven't cleaned it or replaced any other parts at all. In that time I've probably run around 120 ml through two units.

Time to get new heads or whole clearos if the heads aren't replaceable. It is hard to know when to replace sometimes as they still work but aren't very good. Trust me when I say you might be thinking 'well these are working fine, why should I replace them' but when you get new ones you'll know. Plus they are cheap enough might as well get the best from them.

Don't forget, some heads can be dry burned, the crud blown off and then the wick rinsed off in running water. Just be sure everything dries thoroughly overnight before using again.

Hope your appointment at the hosp went okay.

Ive started using my DID on my Vamo for the time being as 1.7 Ohms is better on the Vamo than the dingo due to being able to put such high voltage through it.

Mechs are better at low ohms obviously lol but all my kanthal is fannied. I have 0.15mm kanthal but thats so thin when i wrap it no matter how many wraps I get 0.3 Ohms which is silly lol.

Are you sure you've not got non-resistance wire there? Wire that thin should give a high resistance, not 0.3...
I'd recommend checking your receipt/email and confirming what that is.
