Newly heard about this Vaping thing. It is similar to an E-Cig? I smoke roll ups mainly. Does it work the same as E-Cigs or is it a ton more complicated?
E-cigs are the toothpicks compared to the Ultrasonic Toothbrushes that the best vaping kit would be (didn't really think the analogy through, but I hope you get the point).
Vaping is only as complicated as you choose to make it, most start with a cig-a-like, but move on to the larger capacity (battery life & Nicotine juice) kit, which provides a better experience with regards to Throat Hit, warmth and vapour production.
These "Ego" batteries and "Clearomisers/Tanks" are available in different sizes and capacity (as well as colour, materials, shape etc.) but the biggest variables are cost, quality and performance (not mutually exclusive). The consumables are the juice (available cheaply in Chinese mass produced form; occasionally with added Antifreeze, all the way up to custom blended, to your exact requirements and everything in between) and the Coil Head of the Clearomiser (the disposable atomiser element - these get gakked up and burnt out with use).
Most are happy to stick at this level - perhaps learning to recoil the atomiser heads themselves, (most easy to do, if a little fiddly) and saving £10 per 5 heads (on average) recoiled or even make their own juice (far, far cheaper than buying premade and again, very easy to learn)...
There's another level beyond the Egos and Clearos:
Variable Voltage or Wattage devices: (either a single rechargeable device or one with replaceable rechargeable batteries)...
...and Mechanical Mods (a "simple" metal tube that literally just holds the batteries and provides a switch to activate the atomiser), which can be as cheap as £30 or command £thousands (for the rarest, most desirable mods).
Ultimately they all do the same job - provide power to the atomiser attached - at this level it will likely be a Rebuildable Atomiser -
as simple as a "Dripper"; a small device that allows you to coil your own wire around your choice of wick material, onto which you drip the juice and vape until it dries out and you need to drip again...
...or a rebuildable atomiser with a tank attached, which holds a sufficient amount of juice to feed the wick and your chosen style of coil - as simple and cheap as a £20 RSST "Genesis" type, to the £50 ish Kayfun Lite, up to the SQuape and beyond - too many styles and brands and prices and wick/coil requirements to list, costing anything from £5 to £hundreds for a Hellfire Mega or Nahual...
...or a purpose designed "Hybrid" of battery tube and atomiser, usually in one continuous device, often very desirable due to the sleek lines and design, and usually expensive...
The sky's the limit, depending on what you want to achieve from your vaping experience, whether you make a hobby out of the habit and your available funds.
New designs and developments are released on almost a weekly basis - some will insist on chasing each of them and others (myself included) would soon be bankrupt if they were to buy everything shiny, each time it's released - the few that manage to do so are called "Todd", or "Scott", or "GrimmGreen"...
There's a wealth of information, on Youtube, various Vaping forums and even this very thread - the Vaping Community is mainly very helpful and close-knit, so get Reading (UKVapers forum is good), get watching (PBusardo and Todd's reviews on Youtube are pretty informative) or ask in here - just try to help yourself first via Google - it does get a little tedious answering: "What's the best starter kit?" and "Where can I buy juice that doesn't taste like they've wrung out a Sumo Wrestler's nappy into the bottle?"
Happy Vaping
