love this thread, the posts are like comments on a youtube video - if you're so disgusted by the game, don't play it, nobody is really interested in a clever comment as to why you hate it.

Agree, not played much i enjoyed it so far and like the series like mentioned above.Artwork is very nice reminds me of Borderlands a bit and voice acting seems good but i like the way certain choices do totally change the game later on in episodes.
 
Was £4.50ish cheaper to get it from Telltale, but I could be playing now if I had gone for it on Steam... Sigh

Seems good though, saved £4.50ish not buying it on STEAM and been given the full series on STEAM anyway :D

I played a bit last night, got into the house actually just before meeting the girl in the tree house. So far the graphics are quite average but cell shaded. The QTE events are more than I was expecting, even mundane things like looking around are presented as QTE events (the first part of the game in the car, for example).

I’ll make final judgement after the first chapter/episode but so far the gore has been quite good and the atmosphere has been interesting too I guess.

Dialogue seems good though.

Initial impression is that I would not have paid full price for this even as a season, the £15 I paid seems ideal.
 
I got that email this morning. Installed it and managed to play it a little before I had to leave for work. Seems like a fairly decent game so far, though it does look like its going to be a bit on the short side.
 
got this game, must say im impressed but then again i do like this style of game.
i think the comic animations are superb, really glad i purchased.
 
I like Cell shaded games and think it looks quite good visually, game play looks dull. Bored of Zombies.
 
Anyone else got a problem? The intro video has half the road missing, then when it goes to the car, most of that is missing, as is anything else outside the car... (In the cutscene so far)

Got an i5 2500k & ATI 6870 so not a problem spec wise...

No I have an AMD card the 6950 but it seems ok here. Drivers maybe?
 
Everything is up to date on my PC... If I turn the settings to Low its fine, but on High trees, walls etc vanish...

Even on low, at the first action scene it is freezing between every event, so much so that it keeps missing me hit keys...

There have been a couple of issues reported with certain graphics cards on the game's forum. The first is that ATI cards don't cope well with shadows (it's reported that setting shadow quality to low or off helps in certain situations). The other I've seen is that if you have anisotropic filtering and antialiasing forced on, it can cause graphical problems like you described.

Dunno, for sure it does not happen with all amd cards. I have mine maxed out without any graphic issues. Strange how these things only effect certain cards etc.

Thanks, turning off forced AA has sorted it for me, can now run it on high :)
