There was someone on these forums who used to own an F40 I think. If I remember he sold it.


I could also realistically own a Datsun 240Z. But I have nowhere to keep it out of the weather and it would not be a fully restored one. Think rotsun not datsun. Maybe one day when I have a garage

I absolutely love the new (B8 and C7) Audi RS4 and RS6s.

Very expensive cars but maybe in the future I'll buy one on finance. S-line A4/6 is probaby more realistic but I can imagine anyway!

You should still be able to reclaim a nice amount from the 2.2. There's a few mk2s for sale ATM at around 7k which in my eyes is correct. Not the usual 11k places are asking.

Mk1s seem to have taken a bit of a tumble if you could live with the tax

yes you're right and it's taken a long time to sink in.

i wouldn't buy an Evo if i was the last man standing, it's a total money pit and nearly all of them are unreliable rust buckets. i viewed loads of Evos and unless it's a chassis up full restoration; you'll always have problems with it.

some Evos are brilliant but will cost you over 18K, it's the ones under 12k on Fleabay that are total garbage.

i'd much prefer a fully restored muscle car from Vanguard.
