The WANT thread!

No words:

1963 ASTON MARTIN DB4 'SERIES V' VANTAGE SPORTS SALOON

Why, because my dad had one when I was a wee bebe.
Why not, because I'd have to live in it and it'd smell after a few weeks

You know how this works, you post stuff that you'd love to own but can't due to finance / non-understanding woman / moneypit / whatever.

So Mondeos and 3 series need not apply. The only other rule is that the car must actually be for sale, so no poster children!

If you want, you can also add why you want this car.

I'll kick it off with this:

My mom used to drive me to school and back in one of these. Not a Mexico, just a standard 1.6 and I never appreciated the car at the time. When something like this pops up, I remember the good old days, and I'd love to own one of these!

nice, worth more than any boring BMW that's for sure, that's a real collectors car............. considering people are posting in all sorts of stuff try this, add 30% for VAT in this country

I've got a dark blue (looks black in some lights) 1967 Triumph GT6 Mk1

That's the one! I remember seeing that a few years ago, glad you still got it (sad about lack of Volvo though :p)

Is it still running and how much are they ? My new place has a garage for 1 car and a drive for 2 more so I finally have space for something like this in the future.

Yeah it's still going strong. I've been meaning to update the build log thread as quite a lot of work has been done on the car in the last 18 months. If your looking to buy one, it'll probably set you back about £12k

I'd never go for a complete money pit or anything utterly impractical these days so something like this possibly...

Porsche 928 GTS from 1995, although the original 1978 wheels where a work of art in my book.

If it was just down to looks alone then the Mercedes 300SL gullwing would be right up there.
