I wouldn't even go on holiday somewhere withought learning some basics, some people i have to try and speak to is shocking

Is it not already standard practise to tell someone to leave your shop if they try and speak to you in a different language?

I've been to places and just used sign language, problem solved.

I get drivers comming from france/germany/poland etc. etc. and a lot of them its hard to get there name out of them, shocking really lol. how do they get threw customs?

I'm not sure that policy is entirely fair for people learning English, but hopefully there is some deference to this and the policy as a whole is a step in the right direction.

Eventually someone will suggest multi-lingual staff which will turn out too expensive.

Self service machines will appear with different language options and eventually we'll be able to pay for everything with our oyster card right?

But Afzal Sadif from the Nottingham Racial Equality Council said Mr Kumarasiri's stance was "unacceptable".

Excuse my stupidity, but with that name it's safe to say he is not english, and im guessing that council is where they make things "fair" for them. Surly this should be from british people? instead of foreiners?
