A lot of benchmarks seem to include a lot of pointless single figure frame rates.

What do you consider your FPS cut off point ?

I find it's really dependant on the game itself.

Some games, anything upwards of 30FPS is fine, some games anything below 60FPS feels horrible.

As others have said, depends on the game. Generally speaking though I like 40 or over. What's more important for me is the consistency.

For mp I like as much as possible and again, consistency is better than on and off mega high fps.

I find anything above 25 to be playable, if I've got fraps running I'm more conscious of slow-downs. Having said that, I think there is a point somewhere in the range 40-50 where gameplay becomes completely fluid - above that I really don't care what kind of framerate I get. Playing online I will reduce detail if necessary to get that level of fluidity, but for single player I'm far less fussy. I played through the Harvest Red campaign of ArmA2 on a laptop, I was blissfully unaware I was running at less that 15fps until I installed fraps. Motion blur has a lot to answer for...!

Since switching from CRT to TFT (S-PVA) last year I experience monstrous mouse lag below 60fps so aim for ~70 - removing AA and even dropping from native res if required.

Not really an issue since retiring the GTX though :D
