I keep hearing good things about the Wire and have tried to watch the first few episodes but just couldn't get into it. I love the Sopranos my favorite TV show of all time, maybe I just need to give the Wire more time.

Liked The Wire though I agree it takes awhile to get into the other series The Corner I couldn't get into that. The Sopranos is my all time favourite though can't beat it.

Just finished season 2, didn't enjoy it as much as the first.

Probably because I preferred the locations of the towers compared to the shipping docks.

Season 3 gogogo!

I wasn't a fan of 2 either. Some of the episodes felt padded and the writing wasn't as good as it was in 1. Season 3's my favourite by a long way, more than makes up for 2's shortcomings.

Season 2 is considered the weakest by most, however I really enjoyed it and it does slot into later seasons even though it seems rather seperate.

I like the way it has tied the storyline back in with the drug trade in Barksdale

Decided I'm going to watch Breaking Bad season 1 and finish 30 Rock Season 4 before progressing with season 3!

I've had the first season here for yonks, but EVERY TIME I decide to try and watch it, I'm drunk.

Queue farting around on the internet (and OCUK) while it's playing. I think I've watched 4 episodes so far (the first one about 3 times), but I STILL couldn't tell you what the hell is going on.

I really need to sit down sober one of these days and watch it through.

The thing with The Wire is that it is a long ass series, Series 1 of Entourage for example is 8 25 min episodes. The wire is 13 1 hour episodes

You really do need to sit down and watch 3/4 at a time imo. Just watched the first 3 episodes of Breaking Bad, highly recommended!
