The Witcher 2: Version 2.0!

I bought my copy of the witcher 2 from g2play, it was £12.20 activates on steam and you get 5% off when you write a small review as you're buying it

Cannot wait, already finished the game twice, but I will play new tutorial tomorrow (since it takes place in new location, with voiceovers and all that) + arena, and might start third playthrough with Dark mode.
GOTY for sure, I have not played anything better designed and written this year..and Skyrim looks a bit underwhelming to me.

Fantastic that they are supporting the game so well but i'm finding it hard to get excited about version 2.0. I am waiting for some new content to get me to replay it again.
imo the game greatly needs an expansion(better not be too expensive:p)

I will replay the first game first anyway so i'm in no rush. It's not like there are no decent games coming out soon.

Against my better judgement I thought this would be worth a punt. I got this email after sending the money.

To verify your order in our store we need you to answer on 2 simply questions:
Firstly , have you ever used proxy server to make an order in our store ? If not, I need you to tell me some details about your last logging ( IP address).
Secondly, which city are you currently in ?
As this is a standard procedure in our shop it would be really helpful if you answer these two questions above.
Thank you for your help and understanding.
Thank you for contacting us.

I explained that I had never used a proxy to buy anything or at all and asked why they wanted my IP and the city I live in.

I've asked for a refund again. I've nobody to blame but myself and I might seem a bit more cautious than I need to be, but I thought I would share this in case it helps anybody else.

EDIT: I got a refund. All this took place within the space of an hour

So many good combat fixes. I'm hoping it makes it much smoother to fight which was one of my biggest complaints.

Bring on a new playthrough in dark mode :)

is g2play a bit risky then? £12.20 is a bit of a steal

I've used them for a couple of games, I've never had any trouble or had to email them any information, the only thing they ever questioned was that because I paid via paypal and my paypal email address was different to the address I signed up with they asked me to email them from my email address that was linked to paypal with the order number to verify that it was my paypal account

It seems like they take fraud seriously and are possibly too cautious as the guy above said

I would not use g2play, they are no official store, they take cheap retail copies sold in territories like Russia and take the codes of them...
It is not official and who knows where they are getting those copies..

I mean, if I go through the trouble of buying legal version, I might as well do it in a shop where I KNOW that developer/publisher gets the money.

Just get it from GOG. $29 and all the proceeds go to the developers

I'm going to wait on this. No hassle, no DRM, no steam and you know the where the cash is going.

I felt dirty but it was cheap.

I felt exactly the same way, it didn't really kick in till the payment had gone through. It was a bit of a blessing they wanted a picture of me standing outside my front door holding today's paper with my pants around my ankles.
