£20 from GoG is also a bargain but I think I'll prefer to have a retail version of this game.

it's probably worth buying, I thought the game was really boring personally - a 6 or 7/10.

Boring? For real? The plot is awesome and id you don't like paying these type of games you shouldn't of bought it in the first place.

^ I'm not sure i would call it boring but i did think there was definitely something lacking in story/narrative as well. I would not say that it bored me but there were a few dull bits and tbh the last chapter just seemed rushed and ill thought out to me.

I wouldn't go as low as 6 or 7, it is still a very good game but i do not share the enthusiasm that some others do

How do i go about downloading the patch? I have the d2d version. If its done automatically when does it do it?

Nope not steamworks. Steam achievements are only available if you buy from steam.

Supposedly autopatches when you start the launcher but that doesn't seem to be doing anything right now.

There seems to be a considerable amount of compression on the patch from the amount of time it's taking to install. I hope valve have this on there new servers or steam copies are gonna have a full download all over again.
