The Witcher 4

WAHOO! looks to still have the same "ohh you thought you saved them" vibe :) have they changed the voice actress? keep getting regional accent vibes

Looks good, albeit a trailer. I wish Geralt would still be the main protagonist. Won't be the same.

It makes sense for it to be Ciri, reading the books, following the games, it was all revolving around her anyway really. Geralt deserves to relax in Corvo Bianco. I'm sure we'll be seeing him, Yenn, Regis and co at some point again. An old Dandelion could be a laugh. Ciri does seem older in this and to have been mutated, so I wonder how many years the universe has moved on.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the story anyway. They must have nerfed her Elder Blood!

I'm not claiming that this trailer is the final game for Witcher 4, just that CDPR have shown in game footage at trade shows in the past for Witcher 3, strongly suggesting that they will be in the final product, only to then remove most of the next gen stuff in the name of 'optimization' when really they didn't want the PC release to cannibalise console sales.

Tbh I know a lot of fuss was made about this at the time but I really wasn't bothered, I just got on with enjoying an amazing game that still looked fantastic even if it was downgraded.

God, I hope not - or if they do make sure there's an idiot mode so that I can actually defeat a single enemy in the entire game.
I agree about the rolling. Which is just as bad in Witcher 3. Elden Ring has some nice feedback in the game play when you parry successfully. That’s the kind of thing I want to to see.

Those weren't in game graphics.

It was pre rendered.

I think it was in-game, but the lighting quality was way beyond what a normal PC could run.

I hope they work on the combat. Needs to get closer to Elden ring. Going back to Witcher 3 it feels very basic.

W3's combat looks like it has contact to it though. Elden ring is just rigid, canned animations which all clip through each other.

Personally I thought W3 combat was fine. Rewarding, varied in tactics if you wanted, scalable through difficulty.

Really looking forward to W4, must have played W3 through about 3 times now.

Geralt can carry on drinking red wine with Yenn, riding the unicorn at least twice a day.

Over to Ciri now!

It was only slightly a challenge and not exactly exciting if going full alchemy instead of sword/magic. Both of which are completely OP but definitely fun when you are blasting through 1st play through.
