The Witcher series (Netflix)

Yeah, its ok really but the due to the game and the books it has high nerd following and hence wanders off from the source material (a lot) its a 8/10 show at the end of the day.

I am a odd one out as enjoyed the books but not got around to playing the game (i tried witcher 1 and gave up as it was a bit dull)

I've got a free weekend so I'll try and get a couple of episodes in. This will be about the third time I've watched ep one.

Scenes with Cavil in were good, it was just a shame that the show focused far to much on other characters instead of Geralt.
At least we know Cavil tried to fight back against the direction others kept pushing the show towards.

Netflix were so dumb, they should have just made him executive producer and Geralt

He seemed to be the one guy who knew the books and games

The books are much like the show, they begin as fun monster of the week short stories, and then they become a boggy diplomatic mess.

Not forgiving the show writers, but the source materials jarringly shift tone and structure as well.
