The guy sent me an email after I had told him to run the old 1.1.3 ziphone:

"thanks have follwed the instructions and run the file, but this is getting weirder...now although it can detect the vodafone sim card (and even received call), the screen still displays the recovery mode (cable and itunes logos) and the slide for emrgency slide... I cannot access any function and the itunes software on my PC states the the iphone may be damaged... "

Shall I advise him to just run the 1.1.4 ziphone?
