The world famous all-nighter thread. Please come on in...

Yeah but was it 3,000 words on the reliability of forensic fibre evidence? Or age determination of blood stains using force spectroscopy?

:p

Depends if you know the subject, or are researching / learning it at the same time.

I could knock out 3000 words fairly quickly when typing 60-70 words a minute, but thats the easy bit.

Kris = Gill Grissom!

:D

You hear/see the accident at the end of my road yesterday? It was in the middle of the afternoon.

InvG

I got told about it by a mate who lives right next to it.

Looked pretty bad, I can't see how they managed it though? Takes some effort to take that corner that wide.

I heard a smash last night like someone put a window through in my house.

Opened my bedroom window for a bit to see if I could see or hear anything, and in the distance I heard two sorta gun shot sounds, both had some sort of scream before and complete silence after... lol - I think we live in the ghetto of Bournemouth.

yeah, forensics, shes in her final year too, cant remember her last name though

well, good luck with dissertation, im on my placement so i dont have to worry about that for a few months more :p

I'm in my 2nd year, about to start my 3rd. :p

I'm doing my dissertation proposal, we do it in our 2nd year.

:(

I've got a presentation to do for Monday, I don't want to do it though?
I'm feeling like I don't care about my work anymore, I just want to get out of it all. Motivation has dropped to zero.

I can't kick myself, or find anyone to kick me into doing anything.

I pulled in a sickie at work today morning, I'm going to give this my best shot.

I pretty much lost my job doing that this morning, as I have a really important presentation tomorrow.

Ok so my time keeping wasnt good, but I'd rather lose the job than a chunk of marks from my degree.

S'ok though, I think I've got a new one for next term already.

I'm wondering if it matters whether I get a reference from them or not.

I've worked for ASDA for nearly 3 years, I've still got my original seasonal job at home, during easter, summer and xmas. I've just quit my opposite seasonal one where I work whilst I'm at uni.

I reckon I could still get a reference from my home store.

I hope anyway!

So has everyone handed their dissertations in now?

Just think, in 22 days I'll have finished my 2nd year!

Can smell the freedom getting closer. Can't wait to finish this degree!

Well I'm up early and went to bed at 2am.

Exam at 9.30 - not ready for it though. Criminal Law exam for 2nd year of my Forensics Degree. These things ACTUALLY count now. :(

Last one for me :) Just finishing off an essay on the ethical issues surrounding file sharing, 800 words to go :)

Good luck with that!

Ive finished uni yet im still up at 1:11am! Somethings not right!

Well, goodluck to all you out there doing all nighters and finishing your uni years, im off to bed!

Same, I'm up still for some reason. It doesn't feel like I've actually finished uni though... odd.

Night

no more all nighters for me.

Uni finished, career time. work stops at the office from now on :D

Lucky barsteward.

I dream about the days where I don't have a piece of coursework lingering over me. Or exam revision creeping up on me. One year left, but that involves a mother of a dissertation to complete.

I just realised that this all-nighter thread was created for a piece of work that I've just had my grade back for. 60% - not bad for something I started at 8pm the night before!

Well, my final uni year is commencing and I vow to never set foot in this thread for the reason of having coursework to do for the next day.

Has anyone got themselves off to a bad start already?

I'm in the same boat mate, started my PGDip in Advanced Architectural Design this week and I am swearing not to do these dreaded all nighters!

To answer ** question, my mate is staring at all-nighter ville tonyte for our pre thesis interviews tomorrow! He has yet to start his Powerpoint for his presentation so he could be doing a late one! Im ready....for a change

I had a nightmare a few nights back, that I had two pieces of work to hand in the next day.

That nightmare reminded me of the sheer stress and adrenaline and nervousness that I put myself through last year.

I really don't want to experience it again.
