the world has gone mad

There's that, but a lot more women are getting upset at the idea of a guy using their toilets when xe decides xey are female on a Tuesday afternoon for a couple of hours.

I’m sure you’ll quote me some randoms from Twitter, but I suspect (for unknown reasons) more straight men have an issue with this than any women. Much like how most vocal homophobes are men.

Women have bigger concerns than someone having a **** in their toilets, namely the massive sexual harassment they suffer at the hands of cis men.

I can't quote randoms from twitter, however one of my very left-leaning female friends has quite strong views on this which surprised me. If women feel endangered by confused blokes using their facilities (potentially using "identity" as cover for bad intent) then who am I to argue.

I don't really care who comes in the men's toilet when I'm there as long as they don't hassle me and let me do my business. It's up to women to kick off about their bogs as far as I'm concerned - not my problem. :p

No actually, 'safe spaces for women' is the single biggest opposition to mixed sex toilets. Its a massive ongoing debate against trans women being able to use female toilets. Trans exclusionary feminists or some such as they are being labelled.

Its 100% pure popcorn material.

It's like a persecution paradox and amazing fun to watch :)

There's a certain irony that you have perhaps inadvertently stumbled onto highlighting some of the more obvious sex based differences that can be observed between men and women as groups.

Namely the tendency of women to be far more agreeable towards others (even to their own detriment) and the tendency of men to act in a protective fashion towards women especially when it comes to the actions of other men around women.

(I give a reasonably high probability that someone will make the claim that such personality attributes are 'social constructs' that people are conditioned into despite all the observations of other animals, including mammals that shows often stark differences in the behaviour of the sexes)

and much like the 'Nordic paradox' there is an indication that more gender-egalitarian countries show larger differences between the sexes. Which is completely the opposite of what a culturally constructed model would suggest whilst being rather more in accordance with the theory that such differences originate in things innate to the sexes.

It's mainly women leading the fight against trans women using their toilets and other 'women only' spaces. Those women usually get called terf.

Show me an example of where one man has a problem with trans men using their toilets?

One time at a past job where we didn't have any customer toilets, I escorted a female customer to the staff toilets which we were allowed to do. The staff male / female toilets were located through the locker rooms, and since the female locker room was empty, I felt I had to wait inside for the customer, also to make sure nothing got nicked.

While waiting a female employee came in, just looked at me confused, but didn't say anything. I found the entire ordeal embarrassing at most.

Nowadays if that happened I would probably end up triggering some terfs and getting sacked.

Tell me you read The Guardian every day without telling me:

I just find it honestly bizarre that so many heterosexual men idolise Owen Jones in this fashion, maybe find a role model who Doctors wouldn't measure female based on his ng/l of blood testosterone

I mean you don't need to read any papers for that when it is basically spouted by every youtuber on the planet.

I remember it from that woman that was investigated by police for saying there are only two genders on Twitter and watching a few of her interviews.

I'm curious as to how trans men even use a urinal.

Wait, no I'm not, the thought of it is nightmare inducing.
I've been in a bar in central London and gone to the toilet only to have a woman come in and reverse-squat next to me because the cubicle was occupied. :D

The currant cake is the problem. The universe is expanding, and so are we. Inflated world views push further apart.

^^ synching with the thread topic (the world has gone mad).
