The Worst Official Controller

What do you think was the worst 'official' controller you had to play on.

For me, in 3rd place, it has to be said, & I know I'm gonna get flammed, but the original N64 was complete pap. I hated being forced to use the analogue stick in Mario Kart 64.. I just did not like it whatsoever.

In 2nd....The MegaDrive Controller was very cheap feeling especially when compared to the SNES..

But the winner has to be the XBOX MEGA SIZED I'm ALL AMERICAN bigger is better original controller.. what the beep were they thinking?

I loved that controller, it fit my hands perfectly

n64..sucked. i hated it but i tried to get used to it for goldeneye although i never did.

ps1 sucked too, didnt feel good when holding.

gamecube is horrible pad..

best pad is obviously dreamcast, xbox and 360

NES the worst pad I've used. Seriously, the edges of that controller ****** me off no end.

Used to love the N64 pad though.

NES/Megadrive/Jaguar/Gamecube for me. Compared to the competition now though, the PS2/3 pad drives me nuts, its so small and just isnt hand shaped!

I absolutely loved the original xbox duke controller, perfect fit.

I loved the N64 controller while actually using it, but it looked silly, especially since almost no games used the D-pad and even fewer used it well.

The Gamecube controller was wonderfully designed with excellent button placement...
if you have tiny Japanese hands. A 5/4-scale Gamecube controller would be wicked sweet.

My least favorite was and still is the Sony Dualshock. Adapting a SNES-style controller to have analog sticks was an OK idea at first but they botched the placement. The sticks are too low for a natural hand position. They've kept with this same lousy design for nigh on a decade now. They really, really, really, need to swap the buttons and the sticks.

The GC pad was nice to hold but I didn't like the 2nd analogue, or the Z/X/Y buttons.

The dreamcast controller did my head in having the wire at the bottom.

But the worst of all has to be iterations of the PS control pad, even now.

I actually really liked that controller. I even prefered it to the S-type controller that came later.

Worst controller is probably the Mega Drive, however current gen, I'd say PS3 clearly has the worst controller without a doubt!! It's just a fact - there's no point arguing it, you're wasting your time!

No way! Formal complaints if they change the PS pad!

Worse controller probably the NES but i was way too young understand so probably will have to say the original masssssive xbox pad.

The original BIG assed Xbox Pad was awful, and definately worthy of worst pad. The revised pad that was released afterwards though was arguably the other end of the scale as one of the best I've used.

I also don't like the Dreamcast thumb stick, as it used to hurt my thumb after a while, Although the rest of the pad was fine. They just needed to sort out the callus stick.

Ps3 Controller for me. Analogues give me cramp

and triggers are pants.

I've always got on fine with other pads but saying that i went on my dreamcast the other week and when i picked up the pad i thought to myslef 'wtf, this feels weird'

You guys honestly think the PS3 pad of this Gen is worst than any other pad you've used!

I always thought that it didn't compare to the 360 pad in some aspects, But to say it's the worst in history is surely a stretch.
