The Xmas Thread

My grandad is terminal and over the past few days he's got to the point where he's barely able to lift himself out of bed even with the help of us or carers (gonna need a hoist). So if he makes it to Christmas I'll be very surprised. If he dies before Christmas, we're going to be burying him. So it'll be **** all around anyway.

Is there an OcUK Secret Santa this year?

ofc ;)

EDIT: just did a search for last years... the main thread was launched on the 23rd of OCT, its the 21st today to looks like we need to get our act together and hassle Maccy to organize it again :D

That sucks. I had same with my grandad last year. :( condolences and I wish you all the least pain possible.

To the rest of you... :p

I am probably getting socks..... But hoping to unwrap a lot more!! :D

It's still summertime for the moment. Christmas is a long way off.

Just told various family members we will be hosting dinner this year so they don't double book.

That is all till 1st December!

Not doing Xmas this year. My other half lost her dad to cancer just after Xmas last year and it just wouldn't feel right celebrating it this year.

I'm developing an absolute hatred of Xmas anyway, to be honest. It makes me want to hide under a rock for two months until it's all over.

I've put a request in for an a large carrying case for my Photo work, an arm holder for my iPhone while i run around and a new bath robe.. I'm simple and easy.. ;)

Usually, I'd be ranting about "No Christmas until Advent starts"...

That was until we had a toddler, a heavily pregnant wife due in January and no family for 140 miles to help...

Need to sort my ****ing life out - and fast - Christmas will be over and done with in a flash!
