Is there an OcUK Secret Santa this year?

My grandad is terminal and over the past few days he's got to the point where he's barely able to lift himself out of bed even with the help of us or carers (gonna need a hoist). So if he makes it to Christmas I'll be very surprised. If he dies before Christmas, we're going to be burying him. So it'll be **** all around anyway.

EDIT: just did a search for last years... the main thread was launched on the 23rd of OCT, its the 21st today to looks like we need to get our act together and hassle Maccy to organize it again

That sucks. I had same with my grandad last year.

Not doing Xmas this year. My other half lost her dad to cancer just after Xmas last year and it just wouldn't feel right celebrating it this year.

I'm developing an absolute hatred of Xmas anyway, to be honest. It makes me want to hide under a rock for two months until it's all over.

Usually, I'd be ranting about "No Christmas until Advent starts"...

That was until we had a toddler, a heavily pregnant wife due in January and no family for 140 miles to help...

Need to sort my ****ing life out - and fast - Christmas will be over and done with in a flash!
