Theme Park Hospital - Care to revisit an epic game? (works vista 64/windows 7)

Because the resolution it plays at looks really really poor when stretched over a 22" widescreen monitor.

Bit off topic but does anyone know where I can get Street Wars/Constructor, found it on Abandonware but the sound doesn't work.

Constructor, one of the best games ever, I bought a copy a number off years ago off an american website as you could no long get in the UK. Well worth it! :D

I dont see why some of you are having stability issues both I and one of my friends playing this a lot, both on vista 64bit and botjh only had 1 crash after many hours. Gues its pot luck really. Possibly you have some other program conflicting with it?

I also want to know how to do windowed for this game!

original theme park > theme hospital. Used to add the salt to the chips and the ice to the coke for teh win! lol

STOP IT!!! I cant find my theme park and every time someone says it a part of me dies inside. i may have to finds it elsewhere.

The only was i got Theme Park working was with dosbox, i have the original disk but it throws a fit every time i try and install it normally. Installing through dosbox was fine, but had to sort the processor speed out as it plays at a million miles an hour :p

o yeah i ahd that with cesar lol.

Wow, this brings back memories. I don't think i ever managed to complete the game due to the bugs. I downloaded it and had a quick try but I see it still has problems. I got to the 3rd level and twice I've had it just freeze, making me ctrl-alt-del out to end the program (and i have to do that in 640x480 with 8 bit colour, which allthough sorts itself out when i end task, it still alters my task manager window size to fit on screen, causing me to have to adjust it again after).

It's a shame more effort was not put into patching the game, I never looked into what happened to the developers back then or why they neglected the game as it was fantastic back when it first came out.

There have been people who have developed new, open source, games based on old ones like X-Com, so if someone could develop a modern version of theme hospital I'm sure there would be quite a few people wanting to play it. Shame that will never happen though :(

I have the original disk for Theme Hospital, the first one before the newer ones got released where you couldnt cheat on the game, must have blocked it some how on the later versions. I was tempted to try it on my vista x64 pc, but wasnt sure if it would work. Is there a patch for the original game to work with vista x64? I have the old copy of theme park somewhere in the house, but then if there was a similar patched version to work with vista x64, id like to have that.

Nope you cant install the game or run the patchs on vista 64. You have to edit the game to get it to run on vista.

Really dont get why you all having theese crashs. Ive now had 2 crashs and ive played levels 1-3 three times because i kept wanting to try new things and im now on level 6.

So is the only way for this game to work is by installing the game from the link posted earlier?

Also, is there anyway to get Theme Park running on the same system, without it running a million miles an hour?

I want to use my mouse on both these games as well, as its the only way to play properly
