9600 can barely play anything now what makes you think that?

In regards to the bug, burn the monitor I'm sure those bugs wont be there long after that.
 
these thrips (know I can name the blighters) bug me as well. I have them all over my house so damned annoyed we have the biting ones over here as well. Wear any white or yellow t-shirt and they are all over you. (shivers just thinking about them)
 
I used to live near fields and have had 2 little black flies stuck in my TFT from then (about a year and a half ago) not sure what kind they are but they come out to annoy you when they start harvesting. They are the right size and colour to sometimes make you see read a character wrong :( been meaning to dismantle my screen and take them out for ages
 
Grrr my monitor is infested (well 2) with them as well now:mad: ..

I do feel quite sorry for them though , they hardly live any length of time and then to end up stuck inside a monitor :(
 
Have had one in a laptop, one in a cheapo screen, and one in a Samsung. Crawled to the middle of all three and expired, and they're all still there. They were all old/rubbish enough at the time for me not to bother with a return, but it's annoying all the same. When it first happened I would never have believed it was anything other than massively unlucky....seems not!
 
advantage of still using CRT, nothing has gotten into it for past 5 years & i don't think anything can, unless they can go through glass
