There's something hairy on the top of my kitchen cupboard

I noticed it while I was making a cup of tea, think it only turned up today. I've had a crazy day at work and I'm pretty shattered, so I thought I was going a bit crazy, but I was sure something was watching me.
Get it to change the light bulb while it's up there
It's a normal size cat so doesn't belong in there.Isn't there a giant cat thread for this sort of thing?
When we used to have a cat, a neighbours cat used to force the cat flap open (when it was locked!) and sit on top of the kitchen cupboards just like this, it had the most ghastly meeeeeeeow, low grumbling meow, sometimes we'd find it on the beds upstairs...
