Bungalow next to me came up for sale 18 months ago - Finally got sold to a 30's couple - A hyper active bloke and 5ft high and 5ft round bird and 3yr old who we still don't know who parents are.

These are typical estate people with me me me me I_I_I us us us attitude - -We are having a party F you - we stayed in bedroom and computer room all night to shut out noise.

Anyway today hyperactive decided to clean up outside of bungalow and took everything off outside walls including bird box with brood of sparrows in it and binned it- It's sad to see sparrows come and sit on fence with worms for babies and nests gone.

Hopefully they might sell up soon.

Is the removal of a Sparrows nest really a matter for the Police when the RSPCA/RSPB are perfectly capable of dealing with it.

If that is true about the Sparrows then I would be tempted to phone the RSPB. There is a good chance they won't care, but if they did investigate and the box, with chicks, was still in their bin it would be pretty conclusive.

From the RSPB website

"The maximum penalty that can be imposed for an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act - in respect of a single bird, nest or egg - is a fine of up to £5,000, and/or six months' imprisonment."

I have to say the sparrows nest box was in a safe place- been there for years - They didn't count on idiots.

I didn't find out till hours later or would have put it up on back of my house and hoped sparrows found it in time - to late now.

At my old house I caught new **** we had next door hosing the House martins nests out of eaves.

Reason for both was "They make a mess of yard".

I had all my eaves covered in plastic - told them to leave front till house martins had flown and only paid half bill till job was finished - company didn't seem to mind.

Why don't you go round and tell him you think he's stupid and report the sparrow murder to the police
