+1 for a consolidated thread. I like the threads, it gives me a chance to see things I wouldn't usually browse - except for the silly 'here's a picture of a new CD I bought', which just gets tedious.

I like the thread content, gives me inspiration to try things and hear peoples opinions.

I agree it should all be in one thread mind, not people waking up on the 1st each month and buying something for the sake of creating the thread.

Possibly the most even poll I've ever started!

That's not helping.

You'd just ban the threads because you don't like them?
What's the point of being an admin if I can't ban stuff I don't like?

What's the point in having a general discussion forum at all then?

I like GD in general...

We can test the removal of it if you wish?

Not really bothered either way. Though sometimes it is interesting to see what bargains are out there that people get- but the problem is a lot of them are competitors anyway so aren't able to be shared.

Not necessarily true.

16 vote for ban.

22 don't care either way. Let's wipe those out as not counting, because these people don't care.

18 want to keep in the current format.
29 want one thread.

47, therefore want it to stick around, but not necessarily in the current format, and 16 want it banned.

An all encompassing thread would be better.

The thread itself serves a useful purpose; this forum generally contains like-minded individuals with similar interests thus it is likely what one member purchases would be of interest to other members.

i.e gadgets, electronics, cars, fashion, watches etc

There have been numerous occasions where I have discovered new things and found good deals etc.

Of-course I can understand the tediousness of scrolling through people buying SD cars but nonetheless it is a 'purchases' thread. In similar vein, next on the list to close would be the 'Post a Picture of Your Motor Thread' because people keep posting mundane cars and not awesome supercars :p

I do not understand the hate and as there was no option to "keep the current format" I apparently have things better than others...which is nice :D

Keep the current format is the third option. The option that people who believe they have better stuff pick :)
