They are spam threads now. I thought the idea of them was to post interesting things bought, not just day to day things.

I really like them, having a new one each month means that the thread doesn't end up miles long and I love seeing all the interesting and completely bizarre stuff that people buy. What would you rather have, one thread a month that is neat and tidy or everyone posting lots of threads entitled "well, I have just bought a....."

Why can't there be a vote that says "keep them as is" rather than "Keep them it makes me feel good that I have stuff better than everyone else", that doesn't apply to me because I don't post things i've bought in there, I simply browse it. Yet I was forced to vote on that option.

I like the threads but some of the things people post is pointless such as a Tickets or Pictures of meat they bought from the butchers.

People have different interests, I quite like looking at peoples meat (ooh'err!) and it often leads into a brief talk about cooking which is interesting. Also, tickets allow other people to see who's touring. I'm not sure anything posted is particularly mundane for everyone.

I find them quite interesting. some items I see have led me to go and purchase them myself.

Some of that stuff could have been things from OCUK too... so I see no harm in the threads if anything benefits OCUK sales.

Edit: Also a new one every month keeps it nice and organised.

i love seeing what t shirts, awful sneakers and camera lenses you freaks have bought this month so i voted 2nd option.

They are a bit annoying with the same old people posting crap, Oh look mrk has bought a new watch strap, Cosimo has bought another book on Space and a tablet.

A.N.Other has bought a solid state drive!!!

Bores the **** off me but having said that there have been a few gems and I've thought mmmm that's cool and then gone and bought something similar but in general they're ****.

Don't look at the thread then, it's hardly rocket science, I dislike soaps on tv, so instead of watching them then moaning, I take the rather strange approach, and you might want to hold onto your pants for this... NOT WATCHING THEM.

I like the threads, it gives you some good product ideas, and lets be honest it's good for business at ocuk.

The last option seems pretty sensible but I voted to ban them anyway, just out of spite. Damn rich people.

Option 4 was my choice. Not that I could post in them though, seeing as some little scrote decided he liked my camera so much that he helped himself to it.

If anything TIAM needs banning. What exactly is the point of it? At least buying stuff thread serves a purpose in that people do see things that look interesting and end up buying themselves.

This!

Only popped in there from time to time and everytime I see it's a post saying "I'm cold", "I'm sleepy", "I'm going to shoot myself in the head".

Can't they go onto mumsnet to post that bile? :p
