Define interesting? Car accessories - boring and uninteresting. PC stuff - win!

What is uninteresting for some people may be the light of someone else's life :) I am really bored with football and can't be bothered to follow it anymore but a fair few people live for it.

In short, everyone is different :)

Little point in banning them if you go by popularity (viewing figures):

April 124,428
March 115,004
February 105,471
January 111,633

They attract people to GD, the forums and ultimately the shop. People like to see this stuff.

There's nothing wrong with a monthly thread. To cut all the crap with racing to post a new one each month just a nominated tread starter.

To cut some of the crap being posted have a list of stuff we don't want to see such as food, drink, clothes and electrical items like batteries, usb sticks and sd cards.

It could be done with a prohibited list at the beginning of thread as we do in Random Image thread. At least that might make the thread a little more interesting.

I've yet to see a convincing argument for banning such threads. :p

Fake edit - /\

The above post also makes a good point, purchase threads are quite popular for viewing and I imagine it does attract some people to GD/OcUK.

"I'm a ****** and here's what I wasted my money on last month... You filthy filthy paupers". Ban the ***** Gilly, your gut instinct was, as usual, quite right.

Is that how you really take it? as if people are rubbing your nose in their wealth while scoffing at you?

I only have 3 straps you gimp.

I mean Mr Gimp.

If anything TIAM needs banning. What exactly is the point of it? At least buying stuff thread serves a purpose in that people do see things that look interesting and end up buying themselves.

Thank **** for that, I don't think I could take another view of a watch strap that is slightly different to the last one. :p

Don't look at the thread then, it's hardly rocket science, I dislike soaps on tv, so instead of watching them then moaning, I take the rather strange approach, and you might want to hold onto your pants for this... NOT WATCHING THEM.

I like the threads, it gives you some good product ideas, and lets be honest it's good for business at ocuk.

Woah there Betty.

I said they are **** in the main, which they are.

If you like to see what inane **** other people buy, go and follow some scrote round Tesco. My point being they were interesting at first, people would post interesting items they had bought but like most decent things on here, it quickly turned to **** because people started posting pictures all of all kinds of inane crap.

If you run quickly to the random pictures thread, Cosimo might have posted a picture of a plane!

Keep fighting the good fight.

Can we ban the starter of the last 3 threads.. Just because he always has to be first and it gets to me :D If not combine them into one HUGE thread like others we have

I don't really see a reason to outright ban them, considering some of the threads of utter drivel that are seemingly allowed on here.

I never really understood why we needed a different thread every month, I like seeing what people have bought though, it gives me ideas of stuff to waste my own cash on. I'm not sure the Wife agrees though......

A single thread would be my preferred option.
