Poll: 'Things bought in...' Threads

Define interesting? Car accessories - boring and uninteresting. PC stuff - win!

Something that would spur a discussion.

Posting pictures of your groceries or a coffee you bought, or some batteries, is not interesting.

I don't see the point in them, it's mental how people actually take pictures of the most arbitrary things.

I've often seen things in them that have been interesting or bargainous, so I would like them to remain. Having said that, perhaps it'd be better to have an all-encompassing thread rather than a new one each month.

I agree with interesting and bargainous, how about creating a rule where if Gilly does not approve of the item purchased, the poster is suspended?

This, I personally find them boring now. Same posters flooding the threads, which could probably been seen by looking at the stats for the top 5 posters each month. Others like it so I couldn't care less.

I suggested one thread many times and was told I was wrong

They aren't kept alive by discussion or interest, they are kept alive by a constant stream of people posting pictures of mundane everyday things they happen to have just bought.

Leave them as they are, if you can't avoid reading them and you feel yourself being contaminated, keep a rolled up copy of the Guardian nearby and whack yourself in the nuts a few times while downing a can of Special Brew to regain superiority over the shallow sheeple.

Do we really need a vote on this?

If you compare it to other BS threads like "This instant and moment.." which seems to be a place to increase your post count and simply just acts as a copy of twitter, its not all that bad.

I like the thread and think one for each month is perfect as it saves you having to read a massive thread which will happen if the threads are merged.
