I'm going on holiday next month, hopefully the mad restrictions on hand luggage will have been lifted but I'm unsure. If not, I'm going to have several hours with just my wallet, keys, unboxed tissues and not much else. Everyone else on the flight is going to be in the same boat. What do we do?

I don't want to have to watch repeats of One Foot in the Grave (coincidentally on headphones I'll have had to have bought on the flight), and I won't have any duty free to keep me amused.

Suggestions I've had so far:

Noughts and crosses using a tissue as a board and coins of different denominations as noughts or crosses

A sing-song (was considering something like Tipperary or Row, Row, Row The Boat)

Origami involving tissues, receipts or banknotes

Preparing in advance and printing a book onto tissues or very fine paper and putting it in my wallet

Any others?

Kill snakes

Sleep

Bear in mind that electronic keys (almost all modern car keys) also aren't allowed.

Stare at any bearded Asian men that may be sitting near you. Look at them with that 'I know what you're thinking' look. You could also pretend that you're some sort of special agent and walk up and downthe aisle past them, making notes after each pass either on a notepad or by a voice recording using the microphone in your sleeve.

That's what I'd do.

Pretend you're carrying a gun, but make it a pistol and make it out of your fingers. Move around like you're John Maclean.

Just the fax ma'am.
