Things you hate about your favorite games.

Thought this would be an interesting thread. Name a few of your favorite games then say what you hate most about them.

Metal Gear Solid 3
Aweful first person view controls
poor cover system
can't move when prone. ( You can now do this in MGS4! )
Can't move when in first person view (another new feature they adding in MGS4!)

My main problems with the MGS games is the controls. Only thing I can mark them down for. Glad to see MGS4 looks to be a much better controlled game.
 
Smash Bros Brawl

- Online play sucks and is unnecessarily laggy.
- Could have had a better choice of characters.
- Not enough balanced "neutral" levels that don't give an advantage to certain characters.


Halo 3

- Idiots at bungie still haven't figured out how to allow manual mapping of all buttons :rolleyes:
- Forced to play crappy snipers matches in a lot of playlists
- Seems to lack the passion the old games had


I only play multiplayer games so my opinions only reflect the multiplayer aspects.
 
Hmm, Excellent question.

Shenmue 1 & 2, What I hate about these is the fact they were part of a series of games. They shouldn't have been, For the reason we're now seeing. They've decided against carrying on the series, Or it's looking less than likely, So now we'll never see the end. :(

Final Fantasy 10 Rather than tactical story like battles, Towards the end of this game, It became a matter of mathematics. It was all calculations to beat the harder enemies, I managed to complete the game fully, That includes killing Penance, with out using Zanmato. But the game just started to feel like less fun, and more about calculations.

The latest in the resident Evil series, I would like to see a return to the Zombie enemies, These parasite type enemies that are now being introduced, Although make for a good game, I can't help but feel sad they aren't zombies. Zombies were so much better.

God of War, Growing to the size of a Giant to defeat the boss, I mean come on. I wanted over sized giant mashing!! Not 1 vs 1 battling to the death

I have other favourite games, And I honestly can't think of something to be critical of with regards to them. FF7, Metal Gears, Older Res Evils.
 
Pro Evolution Soccer (2008)
- Rubbish penalties (FIFA WC 06 was the best I've seen)
- Online play is laggy
- Master League needs a major update
- Needs a proper 'next gen' upgrade
- Commentary is woeful
- Missing the EPL license

Lots wrong but I still love it. :)

Same in PES2008! Having a drink, playing your mate..you spot a great pass. You do all that you think you can to make the pass go there....and it doesn't. Ends up going completely the opposite way. Argh! :p

I thought penalties were penalties...what made Fifa WC better? Never played it.

Some people were ridiculously good.

Host advantage, latency.
Everyone left and went to Halo 3

Poor performance no matter what hardware was used.
It got completely ****ed.

COD4:- Random grenades.

These kill me more than anything else in the game. It would probably be ok if it was not for the 3 Frag perk but OMG do they **** me off!!

No, the penalties in PES are rubbish. Pick one of 6 directions and press shoot.

In FIFA at least you can choose the power AND direction AND whether it is a normal shot, finesse shot or power shot. As the keeper you can also move along the line.

It makes penalties much more interesting over PES.
