Things you should have known about but until recently, you didn't.

I found out a few days ago that if you hold control and use the left and right arrow keys you skip to the beginning of the previous and next word.
If you do ctrl+shift and the arrow keys you can highlight that section of text and cut/copy or delete/paste a replacement bit of text in you've copied previously, all without picking up the mouse.

Ctrl+A to select all. Home to go to the start of the line and end to go to the end.

Tannoy is a brand of loudspeaker. Most people refer to a loudspeaker / public address system as a Tannoy

Whenever I hear someone say "put a call out on the Tannoy" I want to crawl up and die

Apple users are the worst for that

Found out yesterday what steak tastes like. Went to a decent place and had it medium rare. It was nice, but I don't think I'd choose it over the other menu items again. :p

Until a couple of days ago I thought the lyrics to the Oasis song 'Don't look back in anger' were " And so sallycon way". Turns out it's "And so, Sally can wait". Blew my mind. 18 plus years belting out the wrong lyrics.

Illogical. Is the value for Mount Chimborazo correct?
The local height of Mount Chimborazo is about 6300m above the local surface height, but it is closer to the equator than Everest. Since the earth is an oblate speroid the distance formt he center of the earth to the top of Mount Chimborazo is slightly greater than to the top of Everest. The radius is about 4000miles/6400km.
