Thinking about wetroom / new bathroom.

All tiles on, and one wall grouted.

I found out today grout with portland cement only lasts a year from manufacture and with enough fear mongering from a quick Google I bought a new bag of grout despite having a completely unused 2.5 year old bag...

All grouted! On the previous issue of colours mismatching I think that was mainly a trick of light/shadow so overall haven't changed any of the previous bits.

What do we think for these silicone ideas

Floor tiles - to wall - colour match silicone to the grout

Shower - colour match silicone (or white?)

Door frame - colour match silicone

Ps the wall with tiles missing will be completely covered by in built units and filler panels.

I fitted some furniture in my bathroom. I've got some matching white gloss cover panels over the wooden bits and hide it all in. I'm going to have to scribe it as the walls aren't 100% plumb.

I think I'll just silicone the cover panels straight on unless anyone has any links to some good magnetic systems?

Stainless Magnets

I've used non stainless for a few area's (not in the shower) and they've been spot on.

Can someone remind me / recommend a sealant for end grain laminate worktops In bathroom?

Also fitted my bathroom mirror but buying some tighter wagos so it can fit on the bottom (of 4 fixing easier)

Over past couple weekends I've

Fitted mirror (its powered and lights up)
Fitted glass shower screen
Fitted sink
Done some of the siliconing

Just need to silicone the worktop on and the sink, and letting my plumber do the toilet wrestling/sink and shower/radiator fitting.

Bit tight getting into the shower but it means none of those annoying flap panels that fill full of crap

my plumber was round today and most my bathroom is finished. Just needs some final silicone and fixing a panel by the toilet then it will be done.

If you were interested in overall price it's about £5.7K. To be fair the plumber includes for hanging another radiator and fitting an outside tap so I'd say take £500 off that labour figure.

First fix outside tap and bathroom (plumber) £550.00

Stainless radiator -via klarna £300.48

Shower Tray - Mira Flight 700x1500 - Plumbworld £388.98

Porcelanosa tiles £967.90

Tile Snapper (bought for 80 and sold for 40 £40.00

Grout and silicone matcher £40.00

many many tubes of silicone/Stixall etc… £70.00

This looks amazing you must be happy with the finished product

I had my main and only bathroom done back in April and it was a relief once it was over but it’s probably a whole lot less stressful if it’s an additional room
