I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. The UK's freeview infrastructure cannot really support HD at the moment. All of the channels are MPEG 2 and most of the spectrum is full up, when analogue is switched off it will free up some more space but not enough to carry HD signals unless Freeview goes MPEG4. The SkyHD box will cost £400, I am still unsure on the monthly cost.
