Thinking of starting WOW

Those are combo points.

Assuming they work the same as rogues because I've never played a druid, basicaly it goes like this.

*example*

attack 1 = opener - awards two combo points
attack 2 = main attack -awards one combo point
attack 3 = finisher - uses all combo points on target, increasing damage with more points

You will then have other abilities, some will use combo points, others wont, some will give points, some will use points.

So, you hit your opening attack and get 2 points, you then use your main attack 3 times to get to the maximum of 5 combo points, then use your finisher to do the maximum damage.

Combo points are target specific, and you can only have them on one target at a time, so you use an opener on target #1, and then use your main attack on target #2, your 2 points on target #1 will be removed.

Finishing moves vary, some do damage, some do damage over time etc etc. You can also use them any time, as long as you have 1+ combo points on a target, but it is highly suggested you use it at 5 points to maximize damage (unless you know you can finish the target with the damage of say 3 combo points)

I would suggsest opening up your skill book and just reading the tool tips with the above in mind, you will get an idea of what buttons you should be pressing to kill stuff.

Rip and Ferociouse Bite at low levels.

What level are you btw?

This is from a leveling guide for druids, gives a decent rotation for level 20-49

-Use Prowl and stealth behind the enemy (if you need to range pull, do this with Faerie Fire (Feral) or Moonfire.
-Open with Ravage once you learn it and when you learn Pounce use this instead.
-If you opened with Pounce use Shred before the stun runs out.
-Use Faerie Fire (Feral).
-Apply Rake if you have it.
-Use Claw until you have 5 Combo Points.
-Use Rip.
-Activate Tiger's Fury and melee the enemy; if they are not dead reapply Rake and continue the cycle from there.

Heres the full guide if your interested, gives some good info on specs, rotations and general tips on playing a Feral Druid.

Decided to give WOTLK a try with the 10 day trial and i must say im loving the Death Knight. Unbelievable the amount of DPS this guy can dish out compared to my same leveled Rogue. Im no were near a WoW expert and play it quite casually, but i really like the DK's.

My main character in Wrath was a DK, Frost tank, never had more fun.

I rerolled DK for wrath also. I'm blood dps in my guild.

As for DK population. There was 10000's of DKs when I was lvling but as time has gone on people have either got bored of them or was just plain bad at playing them.

In my guild now I am the only regular DK that raids (25man) A few people have them as alts but not raiders

Well, one of my friends who plays Warhammer Online has been nice enough to buy me the game + playing time. So, I am gonna start playing this instead.
Its fun so far! :)

rather than make a new thread thought i would post in this one

im thinking of playing wow again but dual boxing, gonna get my main account and reccomend my self for a 2nd so i can get triple xp and level 2 of the same class at first to get used to dual boxing.

anyone who does this can you reccomend any free programs??

Thinking about starting up again soon.

Gonna be playing horde but cant decide to go shadow priest or shaman.

Is there still a class which is lacking numbers and is always desirable in raids/parties/guilds

Thanks a lot

Email me in trust if you wanna referral ;)

It really depends on the server which class is required where etc.

For those wanting to start again.
They recently introduced duel spec, so for 1000g at lvl 40 you can get this and switch between specs easily. It may not help when starting unless you have a rich mate, but it means any multi talented class can be healer and dps, or tank and healer, or dps and tank or anything you want. So dont worry too much about chosing what you want while levelling. You'll also be hard pressed to find a group for instances during levelling, so wont need to change beyond dps.

If anyone wants to start up on a new server or something I play a lot of chars on Eonar. Just search for Oxygene, my alts are usually names this lol.

Always horde :p Guild called The Nightshift. I used ot be with an officer in Phoenix Legion, but they legged it in the Great Migration :(
Although I do have 1 alliance char I am levelling with a mate atm. a lvl21 dwarf huntard!
