This £350 spec ok?

Insert standard "argh Maxtor comment" here. ;)

Nah, it all looks fine. As said it won't offer much of a performance benefit over your current PC but if it is for someone else then it is a good system for the price. :)

i'd switch the maxtor for a WD or a Samsung drive

-also, do you need agp and pci-e on the motherboard?

The X1950 pro is slower than a 7800GTX so you would see a performance drop in most games. I would keep your current graphics card and spend more on a good overclocking motherboard (Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R).

If it's for someone else then it looks good.

i thought the x1950 is faster?

only if its an xtx i think.
The motherboard only supports DDR2 677 or below, so unless everyone else ahs heard that it supports 800Mhz DDR2 fine then id lower your RAM. All i remember hearing is that it was tested and it was tempremental as hell with 800Mhz Memory in it.

that 800mhz ram is cheaper than any 667mhz ram anyway atm.

yeah but the pro is just a lower clocked version of the xtx anyway.

The 800Mhz ram is cheaper than any other ram from ocuk anyway. Running the 800Mhz ram at 667Mhz is the same as using native 667Mhz ram.

sata cables should come with the baord, and kettle lead should come with the psu, although i have had psu's in the past which haven't supplied me with a kettle lead.
