This Business and Moment...

The cost of Linkedin premium is insane, £39.99 a month! Does anyone here use it ?

I had it a long time back but cancelled it, it was nice to see the names of people snooping on me, but that was about it..
Historically I used it when looking for work, but it wasn't so expensive back then.
This time round it's been many months and still no job so I've cancelled it to save money.
Not convinced it was really helping me anyway tbh, if anything I suspect it caused more calls from timewaster recruiters.

Think I'm going to request gardening leave. Got two months of notice left and as of the end of the week I'm no longer on a project, so I'll just be sat twiddling my thumbs.

Had pretty much three months of this - from a work perspective it would have been hell, but I was still fully remote so I got through a good chunk of my gaming backlog.

Yeah I don’t need it, I was just blown away by the cost of it!
Got to pay for AI somehow.

I join when it’s on offer for free, and always make sure to cancel it.

I personally find no use for LinkedIn, but then I never like putting my personal details on a public site so I don’t particularly share much.

Bombed an interview. I'm good with a practical technical test, but when it's talking about programming theory I totally fail to string words together coherently, rip.
Had that last week during my Cloud Architect interview. Threw some powershell and terraform scripts at me.

I'm the absolute opposite, I can smash the theory - but if someone is watching me in an interview scenario I forgot how to even do hello world.

So the guy I've been for over the last couple of years is selling the project I've been working on to another company. Had a meeting with the guy he's selling to, and I'm carrying on for the time being plus I gave myself a payrise in the process. Happy with that :)

Can't really say much due to the whole don't talk to the media thing but got into work today to find mass redundancies on the cards, looks like I've escaped the cut for now at least but that has set the tone for the next few months...
